The people registering the domains seems to only target forum moderators and very popular forum members as I could not find a mickyfu.com or a w130sn.com.

What do you think the reason would be for doing such a thing.

They more than likely want to sell them to those forum member based on the erroneous assumption that all moderators and popular forum members are rich (meaning they can afford to purchase the domain for "branding" purposes) or they plan on selling it to someone who wants to sully their name (the former is the more plausible scenario).
