Ping 50+ sites at once?

I am looking for this too, I have a list of tens of thousands of sites I would like to ping. I know it would take forever to ping, even using softwares to do this like joseph tierney's blog pinger. I just can't find something better.
If there is some muli-thread pinger, it would be nice.

Yes but you would have to pay large for it, that kind of thing doesn't come cheap, you need an actual program

I have a pinger tool that simply takes a list of pages and pings em, all day and all night. I was going to multi thread it but I thought that you would start getting banned from the RPC services as they would be taking pings so quickly. Do they tend to do this or will they just lap it all up providing you don't keep sending the same URLs?

Tried ADS but I see no reports when the pinging is done. I don't even know if it's really running.

Made you guys a quick bookmarklet for pinging
Just make a bookmark and make the location the code above. It will take the title and url of the page your currently on and shoot it over to ping-o-matic.

It's not the cost of the software tool.. It's having the bandwidth, IP's, and servers capable of handling it. You can only open 2048 IP ports (threads) at a time.
Search for Mass Ping and you'll see other threads on the subject (fyi, one of them is a sales thread of mine, full disclosure).
A couple hundred URL's pinged is pretty easy. Now a xrumer result list, etc. gets tougher. You have to bleed lists that big over time so you don't have thousands of new links showing up all at once. Or someone (G) may wake up and take undu notice of you. Instead of you slipping through their radar.

That's my problem, I got thousands of URLS produced by autopligg and would like to ping it. @_@
I arrived here searching for a script or software that would take a list of urls for links I've just established then ping them all in one process. Free would be nice but a few bucks for the right software would be a no-brainer.
Then I thought, why not take my list of new links and plug them into a WP post which automatically pings new content to a dozen or so sites I have listed in WP?
Wouldn't that pretty much do the same thing as pinging them directly? True it's not feasible for someone wanting to do thousands but for the small quantity I'm talking, dozens at a time, any reason you can think of that simply listing them on a new post that is pinging wouldn't work just as well in getting the spiders to the links? Why not hundreds of links per post even?
Also, I've seen some software indicating that they'll ping your same links every few days. Won't that lead to trouble with the places that are pinged?

Your WP idea wouldn't work as you would be essentially creating a link (in your WP post) to the page that you are wanting to ping, the blog would actually ping your new post and not the link inside that post. This is more link building than pinging.
Pinging something every few days isn't an issue at all really. All you are doing is notifying the ping sites that your page has been updated, it is totally feasible that that would happen every few days anyway so you should be fine with that solution.

I put the links in a post and the post is pinged. Spiders visit the post and follow the links in the post to the sites I originally wanted pinged and the newly created links are spidered, hopefully being added to SE indexes.
They're now indexed. Well, at least some spiders visited them. What does actually pinging the links directly add to the equation?

How would that work for pingler and pingoat? Would one simply substitute the url in that string or are there other values in there that must be altered?

Never used either of them, but I don't think you can use this with them. This is a bookmarklet, you put it in your bookmark toolbar and when your on a page you want to ping, you just click it and that page is pinged by ping-o-matic.

how about rocket pinger.. its php.. it works online.. so you can ping while you sleep.
It also supports proxies. So you dont get banned.
