Hi guys,

I have a few web projects and as there is more and more work to do, I am looking for a virtual/personal assistant who would help me with that. The work consists of entering new data the assistant find on the web and managing social media - Facebook mainly.

You who collaborate with assistants - could you tell me, please, what's the usual price for the work I wrote above? Also, how do you pay them? A fixed price or based upon the work the assistant provided?

Thanks!

I'm also curious to know the details behind a virtual assistants. Depending on the details I think it might be a great way for me to learn from someone and make a little money but I'm not 100% clear and what exactly it is they do and everything.

I have no experience in hiring VA. I think $5/hour is good for third world country.

Never hired a VA but I really doubt that anyone would pay that much for a VA in a third world country..

You may look at odesk and freelancers.com

As a rule, if you hire someone directly it can be 1$ per hour, if you use some agency it can be 2$ per hour, but they are better trained and they are given tools like PC with good internet and some SEO software.

For exemple beestaff.net are good

Did you looked for others way to do that kind of jobs? Most probably your tasks can be automated, if my guess is right you can use some tools instead of hiring a virtual assistant.

I'm also interested in looking for a virtual assistance who supports me to communication with my customers.

I have a project manager that does more than what u've mentioned. I'm giving him 5eur/h and i think is very low price. For me the most important value is predictibility:)

Paradi let me add this up. FYI I have been hiring freelancer in PH for $5 and they are giving quality work and they can do more of what I just ask for them.

"good service CHEAP wont be FAST
good service FAST wont be CHEAP
fast service CHEAP wont be GOOD"

You're forgetting, we are dealing with people from third world country. You can actually get all three at once ->
1) Fast
2) cheap
3) fucking good.

From the statistics I've seen, its around 4-7 bucks an hour. Don't know number of hours per day though.
