Chargebacks after shoutout

Hello,

How often do you guys get chargebacked by buyers of a shoutout, after the shoutout is completed?

Seems to me that one could easily chargeback after lets say 40 days of the shoutout. Paypal needs real proof and how the hell are you going to prove that you shouted someone out for 24 hours on your instagram page.

You most likely wont win a charge back even if you have proof due to the nature of the service.

It does not happen often so when I get chargebacks I just roll with the punches and move on.

Really nothing you can do vs these credit card companies unless you have a tracking code.

I've never got a charge back before but there are some sellers I know who ask buyers to pay via gift through paypal.

There isn't really a way to prevent this other than asking to be paid in bitcoin. Paypal sucks for virtual goods.

Take screenshots of email conversations, that show the customer received goods and is happy, if you don't have them Photoshop it, the decision will be with card holders bank, you will win ,can take 3 months tho.

Can't you just have a dummy account? To avoid chargebacks on Paypal I used to just have a dummy account and my customers would send they payment to that then I would send it on to my real account. When the chargeback happened Pay Pal would usually just cover it and ban the dummy account. You can use the dummy account for a while before it got banned.

Haven't done it for a while though but I'm assuming it would still work?

No that does not work anymore unluckily I wish it still did, now they lock your main account because a payment was sent to it and can even reverse that payment now

The buyers were replaying just few words in the dispute.. "The buyer is faking proofs, it's a virtual product that cant be tracked live"

They are always the winners. I called paypal twice in this kind of prbolem they fucked me off and they made me a scamer.

i thought sellers always win when item is intangible.

from what i read sellers are protected when dealing with intangible sales.

Just submit as much documentation as you can. Screenshots, emails, etc. I always screenshot shoutouts and emails of a certain price amount just in case. If it's just a cheap shoutout then I am not concerned. Most of the time, you will lose, but there are times you can win so just submit all the information you can every time. I have surprisingly won several chargeback cases because I submitted screenshots, emails, IP addresses. Note this is different from a regular paypal dispute where they don't have to deal with the CC company.

A dispute is different from a chargeback.

You will never win a virtual product dispute. You have to file a chargeback with your creditcard company.

The easy solution is to just not sell shoutouts.

Sell your own products or drive traffic to your own sites to make money.
