I have ordered 8 projects in the last 24 hours and will probably order more. When I test out a service provider I usually give them 20-25 projects to work on to see how well they do the job (ie: is the quality the same for all 20-25 as it would be if I only order one project) and the turn around time (TAT).

I do a lot of volume every week whether it is content creation or link building and stick with those who prove they can handle the volume until they can't. Then I look for new service providers to either add to my group or replace those no longer performing.
