I am not allowed to post a link. I have found a video on Youtube with step by step procedure. You just need to search on youtube with this name "How to Change Facebook Event date Without Creating a New Event "created by Emily la Grange TV.

Thanks a lot. Unfortunately the Video is from 2014, FB changed the policy about it recently. Even Emily la Grange TV says that this doesn't seem to work anymore (( I think we need coding ot another hack to do it Do anyone know a trick?

OMG!! I need help with this too. I just googled this problem and found this site. It won't let me message you until I have 15 posts. I have a HUGE and IMPORTANT event and Facebook wouldn't let me extend the date even last week. It wouldn't save. I thought that maybe it would after the event started (today), but not it's telling me it's "locked." PLEASE HELP!!!
