So as a guitarist myself, I was randomly wondering if any of you fellow BHW'ers were playing guitar.
So, do you?

And more specifically, do you record and upload anything to YouTube or similar or do you have a band that I/we can check out?

Would be really cool to find fellow guitarists on here to collab with on YouTube - might be a Win/Win for both of our channels.

Here are some of my stuff if you feel like listening ;)

Hello losdivinos . . . I have been playing the guitar professionally since
I was 10 years old. Interesting stuff you are doing. Nice scale shapes.

I listen and learn from a lot of "hybrid" guitarists like Greg Howe, Eric
Johnson, Steve Morse, Glenn Proudfoot, Steve Lukather and more.

Keep up the good work my friend. You may be onto something.

Cheers! - "Wiz"

Thank you very much for the kind words!
So basically you are living the dream? IM + Guitar for a living? Heck yeah.

I've been jamming for around 7 years I believe. Will definitely check out a few of those names.
Whenever I need inspiration, I tend to search through some of Guthrie Govan's juices.
Definitely the best improv guitarist in the world in my opinion. Unreal technique combined with unimaginable feel. Such a clever guitarist.

Yes . . . Guthrie Govan is great as well. :)

Also, look for the Scott Henderson Trio on youtube. He is amazing!

I've been playing for around 7-8 years myself. I've never had any lessons but I've always enjoyed playing along with some of the greats (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, etc).

I don't have a youtube channel, but hey it's always a possibility.

Nice stuff! I have been playing guitar for about 5 years and recently i haven't been playing but i plan on getting back into it VERY soon! I do all different kinds of music from Parkway Drive to Attila and even some of the classics like Metallica and etc. I love the heavy stuff and it's always been what i enjoy playing.

Cheers to IM + Guitar! Music truly is a great thing, and even more so if you can play/create it yourself.

Nice Improv.

Totally dig the old sort of southern 80s metal feel. I myself have been playing for like 14 years. Play mostly metal. Good stuff ;)

I played professionally for 10 years but then I dropped everything to devote full time to IM because was unable to earn big $$ (sad but 80% of guitarists earn very little money) .
I had Fender Statocaster US model and it was like strato by Eric Clapton :)

I really like your Improv video, is really smooth and pleasant :D

OP, hate to break it to you but 99% of musicians are broke. Just a heads up. :)

Have you ever thought about the possibility that maybe he plays the guitar because it makes him happy?

Listen to Mark Tremontes Lessons ^_^ I my self is a vocalisT

Acoustic rhythm guitarist here :)

Strumming is my thing. Lead is just not my cup of tea it seems. Learning scale shapes atm.

Thanks a lot guys for all of the nice comments! :)
Interesting to see that other IM'ers strum the strings too.

The improv is about 2 years old now though, so it is definitely not optimal - but the only improv I had recorded.

@cashdash - If I played guitar for the money, I would be retarded.

Been playing for 20years, since 95. Professionally was early 2k to 2010. Band got dis-banded, having a family, searching to make money then found BHW by 2011. ("Professionally" has stop, but that doesn't stop me from playing. I'm actually getting in the band again, next thurs would be our audi set for a particular bar. Been playing here and abroad along those years.

Listen to Paul Gilbert, Vai, Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, petrucci, batio (For progressive guitar in particular) but for loving music, more on the metal, slayer, sepultura, slipknot, pantera, lamb of god, white zombie, the "battle metal" album, carcass and many more...

Here in our country, cover band or variety band is where the money is, not in composition (Well, if you say easy money BUT there is no such thing as easy money, it's a long conversation but you get my point). Anyway, gotta cut this here, for now...

Guitarist? What is guitarist?

Oh, that must the one of those people that play those toys I make out of wood.

Edit: sometime in the making, my camera battaries dies and I never reset the calender.

Nice man! Wish I had time to do the same thing, man! Would be so cool to make my own guitar.

I bought a pretty cheap starter pack with guitar and amp few months ago. I really enjoy playing it but sadly I can't find much time for practising it right now.
