Happy “mobilegeddon” Day

It may be a bit too soon to gather the data, but wanted to see if/who's been effected.

It's been said simply if your site is not mobile-native by now, the site won't show up on Google's mobile search: potentially losing ~50% of all of your search traffic.

Did anyone take a hit that you could see? If so, how bad was it?

I intentionally left a few of my smaller, less significant sites, as 'not mobile friendly' to see what would happen. Nothing has happened yet - but, an algo that affects such a large portion of searches will certainly take more than a day or two to rollout fully.

Awesome thanks for sharing, I don't know how much of this is legit or hype... Luckily my sites were mobile friendly. Hopefully that benefits me in the upcoming weeks

Nothing affected yet, but Google did say it would take a week or more to roll out to the whole index.

My website has not yet been affected. From what I've read it will take some time for Google to index. There are still many other factors that Google's algorithm takes into account when ranking. For now "Mobilegeddon" seems to be a little overhyped. With that being said its better being safe than sorry!

I have a future client who I am currently building a site for that certainly had a site that was not responsive or mobile optimized at all. Not seeing any change of ranking at all nor from his local competitors. At least not yet... but I don't intend to wait around for it. I want to hear of a story of someone's site getting smashed! and a story of a site rising above other competitors

I am upgrading all my client sites to mobile friendly. we don't want to get hit and loose clients.

I made my site mobile friendly just a few hours before mobilegeddon day and google gives it a 100% mobile friendly rating

haven't noticed anything... got few sites i was tired making it responsive and leave it behind. nothing up to now.. What i noticed was that my wordpress responsive website is slowly losing traffic since april 21..
