Hi guys, I need a little help here. I basically want to transform my large adsense site to an amazon affiliate site. As you may assume the site is informational and doesn't have content based around products. Is such a transfer possible ??? Adsense ads were never paying this low like they are now. After new year the ads dropped to an average of $0.10 per click from about $0.5-$0.6 per click

I have a few ideas

1. I can do 10-20 long product reviews in the niche and try to rank them. I will put links in the articles (i have around 500 of them) leading to the reviews.
2. Embedding amazon product links directly in the articles
3. Post another 100-200 short product articles (think of thisiswhyimbroke.com)

The idea is to use the traffic I already get which is about 10k-15k of visitors a day. From what i know, amazon sites have to be specifically created and designed around a product or a group of products.

This is why I'm asking if this transformation is possible or just not worth it ???

Sounds like a pain in the butt issue you have to be honest.

What about creating an amazon affiliate site with products you think will convert best with your readers, and link to it from your site. Using products that sell for $100+

Just a suggestion

I have a site that is similar to thisiswhyimbroke.com (but a specific niche, not just general like TIWIB); there is a Wordpress theme out there called Covert Store Builder that is affordable ($49, I think), or you can probably find a nulled version, if you want to go down that route.
I have many Amazon links and a few niche-specific product links to a supplier. I got a Reddit hit awhile back and made about $200 in a day with about 10k unique visits. I'm thinking if you could do the same thing with your site that gets 10 - 15k visitors a day, you'd be making bank.

Yup, that was just one of the ideas i forgot to list

transformation is possible! do you think the revenue from Adsense justifies the conversion and is the traffic all organic?

The revenue from adsense was very good for a couple of years, but like i said the payment per click is crap for about 4 months now. The traffic is not all organic. more like about 20% organic 30% direct, and 50% referral and social

Also What do you think is the best way of going about it, BuildMoreLinks ? Is it one of the ideas or something else ?

Uhmmm, that's not a drop, did you meant "$0.05-$0.06 per click"? Because 0.10<0.5

Yeah, that's what I said. They were 0.5-0.6 and now they are 0.10-0.11

Does anyone else have a suggestion ?

I found amazon affiliate the absolute worst from all networks ive tried. Adsense Ive nearly always gotten the best.

Took me months to get even one sale on amazon in fashion niche and even then only a measly .36 cents whereas adsense gives me a few dollars a day.

Ofc theres alot of factors but the amount of headache for the pathetic reward i just dont see the point.

You should go to commision junction or something instead; the commision is better. I had been trying cj recently and you can get up to 15% commision per sale vs amazon's slave labour 4%
