Using Ezinearticle.com for French content?

I would like to know if it is possible to use Ezinearticles.com and web 2.0 websites to publish French articles and rank quickly for long tail keywords?Will google.fr see those website as authority sites?

Don't think EZA will let you publish anything but English..It's a bugger, but they maks the rules.

You have to use English with article directories. The only way to promote your French site is by stating it in your author bio and linking to it.
DMOZ has a French article directory that you can use though.
