Hi guys , how do you know Damnlol.com to display a clickable picture that sends to the site as in the photo below ?

WOW! Haven't seen that before. I wonder how they do that. The images look like normal images and not the og:image pulled from a webpage.

you need a script to do that, it can be done manually but it will take some time. Basically that's a page with a big image, you add the url, facebook automatically extracts the image and makes it clickable, you can then re-direct that page to wherever you want. We have that in Mass Planner in case you want to give it a try

Interesting. Would FB categorize it as an image post or a link post?

it's definitely a link post, you cannot achieve the redirect to another page with just an image post

It is similiar to trustjacker on clickbank, I wrote a vb.net program that creates these kind of pages on the fly. .

I couldnt see any interesting meta tags on the damnlol site. Which ones are of particular importance to do this?

I tried to replicate a static version of the damn lol html page to see if I could pinpoint what gives it this unique post - hiding the site/description and just adding a small overlay subtly to the image. I ran this static html page on my server under my own domain, and slowly removed code until it stopped displaying this way in Facebook.

It seems when I removed the canonical reference it stopped working, however I've double checked my site has this reference and it does. So what gives? What's the key tag to get this displaying the same way?
