First I don't know how much followers I have as I was occupied with adsense, but I will soon start counting!

"Yesterday" Update for 04/05/15:

Total Unique Visitors (UV):890
Adsense earnings: 2.49 euros

That day I was experimenting with blocking the low paying ads. I was leaving only high paying ads most of them were between $0.5-1.5 CPC.
But somehow this didn't do the job and I felt like it backfired to me and I was having very CPC and RPM.

Today ( or yesterday as the time is 12:50AM ) I decided to remove the bans after extensive research about how google adsense works and what is the essential for increasing the overall CPC.

Today I noticed I didn't remove all of the bans I have made ( I have made a lot of bans to low CPC ads ), so I finished the job I have removed the rest 80% of the ban ads.

Today Update for the 04/06/15

Total Unique Visitors (UV):1872
Adsense earnings: 3.75 euros

I have to add that probably half or more are visitors from other places after one of my tweet vent viral and was posted to other social medias.

I was actually disappointed and happy in the same time as for that amount of traffic I have so little from adsense and still its my new record in earning in one day.

What I have observed and done and what is my theory!

After reading a lot about adsense, doing small experiments and using common sense I have constructed a theory why is this happening and its not only to me.

Wen you google how to improve CPC you will get the almost the same answers:
-Less Ads blocks
-Better paying Niche
-Block low paying ads

This is what I did and my results where terrible.
I was wondering if maybe its becouse I have in the same time started using responsive ads, as the normal ones didn't looked good when viewing via mobile. Only 70% of the ad was visible, I don't know why when the cut was not horizontal it was vertical.

But after I started using responsive ad format the ads looked terrible viewing the page via PC. Usually I want my ads in the content to be in a rectangle form ( I call it a box type ), but with the responsive ads the ads viewing via PC the ads where the little banner stile ads, they where bleary noticeable.

After doing all that my adsense earning where lower then ever.

After hard thinking, reading, etc.
I have came across my theory.

Why I have low CPC!

-I have changed the ad blocks with new ones
-I started to block low paying ads
-more traffic

The 1 one
I believe when you decide to change your old adsense code/block you will have a drop in CPC
I think adsense will send you lower paying CPC ads to a new ads blocks, its like testing it first before it unleash all the ads to start competing for the spot.
Also if the older ad block was popular gogole probably have sent more high paying ads as for that reason.

The 2 one

Blocking ads is a never ending game as there are literally 1000's of low paying ads.
By blocking more and more ads you are making more room for the even lees paying ads to appear on you site and less targeted that will results in less clicks and less money.
The more ads you have competing for your spot the better more competition=more CPC

The 3 one

Less traffic you have the less ads will compete for your spot, this is a open window to the low paying ads.
Also when your ads will start getting traffic you will not have lot of ads competing for your spot = open window for less paying ads.

What I have notice personally.
3 days earlier I have activated the option to block and allow ads, this will give you the ads that are appearing on your site or competing for your spot.

That day I had 180 ads competing for my spot/ad blocks. I was like this is to much ads I need to go true to ban and I decided to do it tomorrow.
Tomorrow I had 280 ads competing for my spot/ad blocks. I was like fuck it, but I need to ban then so I ban 60-70% of them

Today I decided to remove the ban and I had 360 ads competing for my spot.



After seeing this I have to a conclusion, as the time will pass more and more ads will be competing for my spot that will eventually increase the CPC.

Now I will leave the ads and I will not ban no low paying ads, and I believe I will see increase in CPC from my 0.08-0.11 to more over time.

Also I will not replace the ad block ( I will only test the place in the article, but I will not replace the ad codes ), I will leave the to get more impressions and clicks that will lead to getting better paying ads eventually.

Been coming back to this thread from time to time, makes me want to start using twitter too. Will probably do that for my next project. Nice to see your experiments with CPC, as I have been thinking about blocking some ads on my site, but won't be doing that now

Actually mine is with FB and pinterest and not twitter. Its $17+ per 1000 pageviews.

Can you say from how many VISITORS per day you have $ in day. From 10K followers how many visitors at site (not pageviews) do you have? And how many $ do you have from it

Hi Wizard, it has been a week of testing my new Twitter method. Getting 150 visitors a day with 5 - 10% CTR on adsense. I am seeing $0.10 - $0.30 clicks and this is in a niche where clicks are over $100 in keyword planner.

If we think about this for a second! Twitter traffic is 99% mobile. People pay a lot less for Adwords network traffic, and even less for mobile network traffic, so $0.20 per click should be considered the normal average.

I am running at $5 - $10 CPM, which I am fine with.... just have to scale up.

So from 150 v per day you have 30 cents in day? Or how many?

What if instead of adsense put banner of ClickBank product which will lead to your review page about this product. So on every article will be this banner which lead to review page on your site, review page will lead to ventor landing page of ClickBank product. Total: on every articles will be CB ads which lead visitors to review pages.

I have one CB banner and I am planing to ad one or two more, where I don't need to have a adsense ads.
But for not his is in the back burner as my priority s to increase the adsense cpc and overall revenue from it.

As I mentioned previously I will combine all of them, but I can't work with all of them in the same time as I need time to get into one method and really give it my best.

but now it don't work like that
try to search for recipes on google then another day you visited a car website then you will find recipes ads on that website
because google now play on cookies and show ads that related to what you search for
so you can't control the ads that show on your site

Thats true, but still there is the competition for that ad space. That doesn't mean less revenue it should be opposite, as google will not track you ad put ads that have less value then the targeted content on the page.

UPDATE

My VPS was down, the nod was down for 4 hours. Something like this never happened to me before, I was pretty pissed off because it happened when I usually have most traffic.

I have low earnings for now as a direct result of my site being down for 4 hours.

The interesting part is concerning AdSense, I think I might be right but its really early to say for sure.

In the moment my CPC is $0.16, which is low but considering my average to be 0.11 it looking good.
Also it the number of total ads competing for my block ads are increased more then I could expected.
Yesterday was about 360 ads competeing for a spot now the number is 1200.

As I said earlier Its early to conclude anything but there is a good chance my theory was right ( also there are other factors that I think adsense takes for better cpc, but I will leave it for some other time as its not important for now).

The day is over its 12:30AM time for an update!

Total followers by now: 65 800

Total earning for today: 4.74

Unique Visitors: 1350

From today on I will start counting how many new followers I have daily. This number 65.8K of followers is a not an exact number probably the real number will be plus 3-5k, but in any case I always deduct 5k.

Today my site was done for almost 4 hours, the issue is was with the vps provider, they at the beginning have replayed me 4 times that my VPS was fine,....fucking bastards. At the end the admitted that they had two users abusing the nod and they will fix my issue. They did fix it aright, after one hour. Because of this my site was taking a big punch in the balls, as it was one of the times where I have a spike in visitors.

40% of the visitor's where from other social places because of the tweet yesterday that went viral, I needed to point that out so you don't think all of the traffic is from tweeter only.

The interesting part AdSense earnings and stats!

I have mentioned today that the ads that are competing for my ad space/block went from 360 to 1200 in less than 24hours. This was a pleasant surprise as didn't expecting this big of a growth.

Today my CPC was record high of EUR 0.30!

I didn't expect this at all, I have less clicks then usual but fuck it the CPC is x3.

I don't want to rain on my parade but we have to look this from every angle. Maybe it's a spike, but other stuff that are happening indicate that it's not a spike. Will see in this week how the CPC will fluctuate.

Also I have noticed the ads with most impressions are niche related ads, this was not the case before. Of the top 4 ads two ads are low paying ads...like really low and the other two have a CPC between $0.5-1

Do you have some statistic about how many you got from Total followers (60-70k) and from only new followers. Which main point in that - total followers or only new followers. For example, how many click adsense or visitors you get from ONLY new 1000 followers every day?
How do you promote url link every day? You put new articles? So you have 30 new articles from website for the month? Because you can`t promote same url twice. How do you do it?

Is there anyway you can get some traffic from other sources to test that theory again? Or I wonder if there are any amazing BHW people who would shout out wizards page on there Pinterest or fb just so we can see if it changes the CPC again!?
