Wizard's Ultimate Twitter Journey

Update:

Yesterday I had 1.7 euros
UV: 367

I was still testing and it was shitty.

Today my "experiment" went crazy. The day ended so I will give the results now not tomorrow.

The day started optimistic for the traffic, but I expected more.
Total UV for today is 626

To be honest I expected to have at least 700

Here comes the crazy part!
I have decided because at least 70% of my traffic is mobile lest 15% tablets and rest is PC I will use responsive ad format as they say its perfect for the mobile users.
Most of the day I have literally nothing I barely had 90 cents. And from nowhere after one hour I had 3 euros ( fuck yeah ).

The day ended with total earning of 3.5 Euros! -a new record for me.

Now I am literary confused as what happened, I had traffic all day and in one hour I made 2 euros.
Probably this is due to high paying ads, I don't know if this is a good sing as google will finally start showing good paying ads or it was just a spike.

Never the less I am planing to look into what ads are showing on my site Google if there is a ways to see how can I recognize low paying ads and remove them from my site. This will be my "priority" in the next few days.

It was pretty easy to find how to block ads. you have a review option on all of your ads showing up in your site.
I did block few of them( about 10-15 ) that have the highest impressions and that where with low CPC ( believed to be ).

There were lot of others ads to review about 100, but for not this is fine and let see if this will make any changes to my overall CPC.

Awesome bro, inspiring how motivated you are to get where you want to be. I have a suggestion. I have around 50k followers in the sports niche, and am making around $10 a day. You might be doing this already, but I have had the best luck by creating a gallery site targeted to my audience. I then tweet out link using Bitly saying something like "The 10 Greatest Basketball Players of All Time, I can't believe number 7!" and I tweet a pic with it of say Kobe Bryant. It kind of disguises it and makes in look like real content and not an add or promo of any sort. By posting this gallery (10 pages for each each player), it causes them to keep clicking to go to the next page. While doing this is where I believe I generate clicks from, by putting the ads right above or below where the "Next" button is. My followers then click it, and even engage with each other over it. I firmly believe engage and disguises links, ads etc. is the key to monetizing on Twitter, not the number of followers. The money you are making per day is impressive with how shortly you just started. Best of luck brotha!

I have give up from removing low paying ads, its a never ending game.
I have low CPC and RPM, lowers then usual. Its probably becouse I was trying to block large portions of low CPC ads.
I will try to find other ways how I can improve the RPM and CPC

Why you just close Adsense and concentrate only on CB (ClickBank) or Amazon? Maybe statistic of earns will be fine. Because few $ from 60-70K it is very sad. Maybe anybody has experience in promoting CB from twitter?

I have done this ads blocking stuff and category blocking stuff few months back in adsense by handpicking low-performing one. But google doesn't like that. My CPC were reduced subsequently and I have to allow all default stuff back again. That made the CPC back to original. With time when you will get large page views for any single inner page, Adsense will automatically optimize it for best revenue for you. Adsense just need some time and large amount of page views to make its tests for your site and then auto-optimize it. Once its done, your earning should improve.

Dude thank you.
This is something that I really needed to hear that.
I am hoping with time as my traffic will grow my adsense CPC and overall RPM will increase For now I will let it be, I will only experiment with ad positions in the article.

How many adsense earns is normal from 10K followers?

I don't know what is going on with my adsense, my earnings are low.
My CPC is 0.10, is horrible considering that 80% of the visitors are from the US and the rest is from CA, UK and small portion from other places.
Today I will probably hit a new record for the most traffic as one of my tweets went viral! I am expecting to have 1K+ unique visitors today.

Ad which loads first always have higher cpc. Check ur adsense reports and see which ad block is getting higher ctr. If it doesn't loading first then remove the ad block that is loading first, and place it somewhere else. This is my way of optimization. I usually take 1000 views as sample.

I have only 3 ad blocks.
First one is at the begging of the article
Second one is in the middle of the article ( if the article is long and usually all of the articles are long )
The last block is in the end of the article.

This is becouse 70% and more are viewing my site via mobile or tablets. My theme is responsive and the sidebar will not show up for the tablet and mobile users, it will show below the post...way below.
That is why I have decided only to have 3 ad blocks and all of them to be around the article ( beginning, middle and in the end ).

Loving this journey Wizard. It really has given me insight into planning my own journeys and although not the same Journey I am glad to say some of what you have stated in this thread has helped me alot!

What about trying to promote only Clickbank instead Adsense. Put the CB banner in beginning article and end. Maybe you will get some orders.

My CPC was around 0.10 with 100% twitter traffic too, I'd love to hear off someone who has 90%+ twitter traffic and a higher CPC? Anyone?

Because I can't promote the same article over and over again to push CB or Amazon products.
My plan is to add in the article cb or amazon products where I can mention it casually, also I have one banner for a CB product I am getting 5-7 hops a day but not sales yet.

How long are you pushing twitter traffic to your adsense site?
I think I have a theory I will discuss here later.

Only about a week or two then I decided to switch niche. I'll know for sure with this next niche because the company I used to work for bidded on it so I know what the CPC should be

I don't think will matter that much as my niche is a high paying one the average for cpc is $1. I need to wait for something to finish and I will make a update with my theory about our low CPC, that I started strongly to believe in.

I've been doing a ton of reading (which is no substitute for experience I know) and I have a theory for why my CPC was so low. Many many people are saying sudden spikes in traffic cause a drop in CPC. And my traffic went from 0 to 3000uv so I should of let it settle for longer really. Also get ready for the 21st :-) hopefully...very interesting read..http://www.webmasterworld.com/google_adsense/3004150.htm

Hi Wizard, it has been a week of testing my new Twitter method. Getting 150 visitors a day with 5 - 10% CTR on adsense. I am seeing $0.10 - $0.30 clicks and this is in a niche where clicks are over $100 in keyword planner.

If we think about this for a second! Twitter traffic is 99% mobile. People pay a lot less for Adwords network traffic, and even less for mobile network traffic, so $0.20 per click should be considered the normal average.

I am running at $5 - $10 CPM, which I am fine with.... just have to scale up.
