Greatest Flippa scam ever? sounds not legit?

So, I was browsing through some flippa auctions and then something caught my eye,
Cant post links but just add flippa homepage before the text below:
4336471-1000-per-month-save-big-no-reserve-no-maintenance-required-affiliate-site

so in short you buy this website, then you spend $3000 in advertisement to the seller. And you are guaranteed $4000 in return via cj well this just sounds to good to be true. And when it sound to good to be true it 99.9% of the time isn't. So i did some research, I started with a typical whois on the sellers website. and red flags was waving in my eyes, the domain is register to someone in panama and of course with a privacy protection. Also another 14 days old account on flippa commented on the auction. "Running low on budget but I will keep an eye on this 1. Already purchased a similar site and all I can say is "One of the best investments I ever made" Best of Luck!"

Well I don't think I need to continue really. But my question is, is there really people falling for this? And if so, could you really get away with it?

In my 6 years as an IM-er I found there is one golden rule which everyone should follow in order to not get theit ass kicked: If there is something which looks to good to be true, in 99% of the cases it's a fake.

People who build pretty solid things online know the value of their work, the potential and they are attached to what they built. If it's something really good, you won't find it on sale for peanuts.

Even its not seems to be too good for me. Its seems to be very much scamy.

Why someone will sale you website and then ask you for $3000 and then provide you $4000? can't seller do it for himself ?

I keep my eyes always on the flippa and came to know that there plenty of sellers are fraud. a buyer should keep few points in mind while purchasing a website.

1. Don't believe on the claims.
2. Always check how he is getting traffic if its from search engine and you can see keyword ranking then you can trust him.
3. Check for keyword traffric in keyword planner.
4. Check for backlinks profile.
5. Many comments like "will keep eye on this" may be fake.
6. Many bids are fake too so don't over bid.
7. Believe on your mind and investigate every point.
8. Ask for Analytics Read Only Access and check for source of traffic.

It is simple, after buying such scam site, you might make a $1,000 buck the first month, and the seller will vanish into tiny space.
The $1,000 you made the first month is probably refunded by the seller to make it look legit.

Now sending another $3k to them? Double scam!

Another tip is always check the WAYBACK machine. Pretty much is the first part of my DD and cuts out nearly 60% of the BS.

I use flippa everyonce in awhile if I take on too many projects and need to let some go. Can't hate on them too much they are a business like anyone else but they should be doing more regulation checks on the claims.

Errrr.................... why should we bring it to your attention? Surely you are making enough money to cover that yourselves. If it was my site I would be seriously looking at my working practices. Flippa is rapidly becoming known as scam city.
