Question about keywords.

Hey!

I have a question. I'm starting my youtube channel and i want to upload my first video.
I read some threads and websites about keywords research but i still don't get it completely.
My channel is about pets and i'm hesitating between 2 keywords: cute dog and cute dogs.
Which one is better for my video and why?

Neither of them are good. These keywords have higher competition. If you want to rank in YT go for Long Tails. Use something like My little cute Dog etc. Still you can use Cute dogs or cute dog but the competition will be high.

Damn, indeed i really don't get it. I checked on google keyword planner and they had 45k and 110k monthly searches with low competition. I thought it was ok. :/
Is it better to use the breed (Cute pug) ?

Both the keywords are highly competitive, But its not hard to rank. video uploaded 2 months ago ranked, So its possible to rank.
You need Perfect On page optimization and tons of views.

The thing is i'm just a youtube noob. I learned to use sony vegas, photoshop etc... these last days and i want to make that new YT channel grow.
Maybe it's not hard to rank for you but i guess it's not that easy for me.
Can you guys just give me at least one decent keyword related to my video (a really really cute video of a pug in his bed) if possible? I'm not asking you to do my work but it could help me to understand my mistakes.

I'm lazy to do research for you, but cute + breed name definitely looks better than cute dogs. It's 100% these type of keywords have lower competition, but peoplo who like pugs will search for it. Also, in google keyword planner the low competition means low adwords competition, not low serp competition.
