GSA SER Scraping vs buying lists ?

Hello,

I'm a noob at GSA SER, can someone tell me what are the advantages (if any) of scraping target sites yourself vs buying daily/weekly list service from sites like 1linklist/sersync etc..
my guess is you can scrape more or less "niche related" targets ? Is it worth the cost of scrapebox+proxies+vps ?

That's a question only you can answer.

It depends how much time and money you have.

If you value your time, just buy lists.

If you're just sittin around doin nothin or are short on cash, then scraping your own lists may be worth it.

I see, but i mean besides the cost do you see any advantage of scraping yourself, will you get something more valuable than the list you can get from the pro scrappers ? can you really get "niche related" lists ?

I scraped lists for about a year. fiddled with importing/identifying urls and all that. I just buy lists now. much easier and less time consuming, for me anyway.

Try it out yourself and decide how you want to proceed.

Don't waste time scraping, just buy a list. Check out stuff like dailylinklists.com, is awesome, just sync it with your GSA and you have steady new verified links (10s of thousands) imported in to GSA.

When i have time, i just harvest links through Gscraper and filter it with GS SER and run it.
When i don't, i invest money on buying links.. Much easy way
The choice is yours now, you have to decide what best suits for you...

If You target some non-english keywords (swedish, hebrew etc.) the Best way for You is to scrape yourself using right footprints + keywords. If You target english market - just buy lists and aply right filters.

Buying a list is trowing your money away, for the same cost you can setup a server with Gscraper and proxies to scrape all day long for you, or try "scrape bandit" for a third party solution, these list you build are being oversold and shared on every IM forum on the internet, thousands and thousands of webmasters are targeting these sites.

If you want results with GSA then you can't be lazy, it is simple as that.

My personal opinion is to get these shared lists floating around are great to use for tier 3/4 kitchen sinking. There are some EXCELLENT list scraper/sellers out there, but if it's a provider that instantly comes to mind such as SERlists, the list is probably wayyy overused. Had to go through about a dozen reputable providers before I found one that consistently gave me good results.

I agree with liberox - there are only two scenarios I'd scrape lists myself - niche/language specific or platform specific (if you code your own platform for GSA).

Well me being a list seller I would say buy my lists of course but, if your good at scraping, have lots of public proxies, have gScraper and or Scrapebox, Have good private proxies for processing your raw scraped lists, then I would say try scraping and building lists.

It all really depends on the person but as you can see from other posts here, people have decided to just buy lists and not scrape.

I am not sure this is true or not, but on the gsa forum, I heard they last only 3-4 weeks because of the over sell

Don't go with scrapping your own lists mate. Try to buy a list its better than scrapping your lists mate...
