Is this traffic normal for a site that is new?

Visitor Stats:
IE: 544
Firefox: 338
Chrome: 100
Gecko/Mozilla: 524
Opera Mini: 2
Opera: 22
Unknown: 2147

7 days open and running on almost 4k visitors. Google and Bing are top referrer engines.

Twitter, tco, bing, reddit, google, hardcorecasualgamer are top referring sites. And I am not a member of reddit or hardcorecasualgamer or tco.

The thing is, these stats are awesome, but noone is registering for the site. It is a wordpress site.

Yes, i havent done any seo yet. But I have very high quality conent on my site. About 250 articles related to my niche.

Any idea as to why I am not getting memeber registrations?

Try doing a manual registration yourself, I Have a feeling that your registration system might be buggy..

If you are saying true then it is awesome go to webmaster tool and check for your keywords which is providing you traffic through search engines. You can also see traffic Source/medium in the analytics to check traffic source, its not common for a 7 day old site to get that much of traffic from search engine. Its very rare.

IMO 250 articles are what giving you traffic, you must have been ranked for a bunch of long tail keywords which are bringing you the traffic.

make sure that your website is not surfed by bots. but if the traffic source is reddit, i must believe. but what to say.
i doubt every big thing.
