Should I even bother with these kws/competition

I have a chance to land a huge local network of clients but they are all pharmacies, and if you for example google "pharmacies tampa" should I even bother... haha I mean the competition is insane would I ever get any of them to rank in an A-F spot, or page 1 etc. Like, would I be wasting time and money because they wont get traffic or high rankings.
Or am I WRONG and maybe someone can get them ranked high?
I just dont think its possible but hopefully someone can prove me wrong (multiple cities, but big ones like this, or NYC).

That's a competitive kw alright but the more you restrict it the more chance you can rank it. So that pharmacy is somewhere in Tampa, right? Zoom in and promote something more focused and you might strike gold.

"pharmacy in blackhat avenue tampa" is an example or "pharmacy downtown tampa"

Tampa is not bad. It's only 300k population. If you want to see insane, look at NY.

yes tampa was an example, I actually mean like NYC or austin tx or similar. where I dont want to waste their money if I cant rank them . Not sure if I could even rank them for "pharmacy Manhatten NY" im sure there are other seo's even here doing it for a long time

You're asking us but you know the specific phrases that you might want to go after so you might have to do the research yourself to really find out.

My opinion though, those will definitely be competitive, but not Impossible.

You should be charging big city pharmacies premium rates so you can afford to put in more work and see better results.

Lastly, if you're doing NYC for example. You can try "pharmacy in lower midtown manhattan" "pharmacy in soho" "pharmacy by broadway".

They aren't the most glamorous phrases but you can bet your ass they'll be extremely valuable to the clients.

You'll never know if you can rank if you don't try. If you think you have a good grasp of local SEO, then try your best to get them to rank as high as you can.

Even if you do a bad job, accept this as a learning experience.

I've seen a lot worse, hell if you can get the top 3 google places you've won half the battle.
