Currently I'm growing my total twitter following by mass following with over 70 fake people accounts. It works well I'm gaining 4000 followers a day. However I've seen people mention they have a single master account and then many many slave accounts that retweet the master account. Could someone explain the advantages of this method over my current method?

slaves are throwaways that you do not care if they get banned or not. easily remade.
Master accounts are usually handled alot more legitly and are built up to huge proportions. Slaves drive traffic and visibility towards the master account.

I would just do both. One may work more effectively than the other one day and vice versa.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, just trying to see if there is a clear winner that everyone uses. If not, trail and error :-)

It's really just one blended strategy. You're already doing half of it. The other half is to use those 70 accts to build authority for the primary. A mix is probably best so it's not blindingly obvious that they're just slave accts. They can be rebuilt, but it slows you down and is far better to keep them going, so they can sometimes tweet, and sometimes retweet and this helps keep them from looking like obvious slave accts.

4k/day is good for 70 accts if it's well targeted, btw. It's possible to get more but the targeting is more important than the number itself. I'm being cautious to avoid bans, and laser focused in my targeting, and pulling a little 2k/day with 50 accts... but I know those are some of the best 2k folks I could possibly pick that are active tweeters and retweeters for my competition.

It seems to be the unfollowing that's the stickiest bit with TW and bans. What sort of rate are you running for unfollows?

Dude we need to kick around some ideas/methods on Skype I'll pm you

I don't really do the chat thing unless there's a specific item that NEEDS to be private. I just find that crowdsourcing is more productive. More answers = better chance of finding the right one. Why ask a question and get one potential answer when you could do the same in a focused forum and get a dozen? Also, I'm just starting out myself, and generally find it's much more useful to seek out advice from those with established track records rather than a group of noobs all trying to figure out how to reinvent the wheel. YMMV.

So far I've only had one account banned and that was instantly before i did anything so I think I had a dirty proxy. How are you unfollowing to get banned?

Go the slave route, linked through tweetdeck or a comparable. Much easier to manage and like others have said its easier to re-create a slave account. HMU if you need help.

This is widespread method. You grown your army of bots and use they some times. For example. You need quick indexation. In main account place tweets with link and 70 accs will retweet it. So this is power signal for Google.

Are there any good guide that can help me set something like this up? Any recommended reading?
