Can you make any kind of money monetizing wordpress?

I have a gaming site, and it is updated every 30 minutes or so with the latest news from the top tier gaming sites. I was wondering if there was any way to monetize this? If so, What is the best way.

If I cannot monetize via wordpress, What is the best way to maximize profits on a gaming niche? I have looked into list building, but I have NO IDEA what anyone is talking about. Read multiple tutorials, and I don't understand it. If people really make that much doing list building, could i make good money building a list around a gaming site, and if so, where should I start?

Also, I am a member of CPA sites, but I can't seem to get anyone to click and convert. Hell, I can't even get the ads to should up on my site lol. I've read so much on these subjects, that now I just confuse myself. I read so many different ways, and the more I think about trying to make money, the more confused I get.

Once you are a bit more established (your websites name is known, at least referenced in the gaming community), you could sell ad space. All of this would require an extensive plan but I see it working out in the end for you financially if you do it.

You have to try one, and you focus on it.

I recommend selling your own gaming products. Or pay per download if you attractive game

My small idea was for long term money, it just needed to be planned appropriately. If you want to generate conversions then target the right demographic. Try youtube gaming channels, try twitter gaming profiles. Use social media for your exposure. I am assuming you are starting with none?

Here's a simple way to monetize your gaming website. Promote G2A. It's a marketplace where game keys are available at a 20-50% discount. When someone signs up as your invitee they are added to your 'team'. You get a small commission everytime they buy a game. They also have a 3 Tier aff program. Pretty nice IMO.

It didn't work in my case because my site's audience was too young to be ready to buy lots of stuff, despite a strong interest in video games. With a niche blog or website, having a quite mature audience (>25 yo), amazon might stand a chance.

If you can get 450 uniques after 2 days. you should find it easy to make money
