Private vs shared proxies

Hey
Assuming I have X amount of money and I can spend it on Y amount of private proxies or Y*4 amount of shared proxies
Which do yo believe would perform better for SEO?

Depends on what aspect of SEO you're using these for. It's going to be much different if you're scraping with them (in that case, public proxies), or posting (private), etc.

I'm talking about posting, but not talking about public at all, just shared vs private

If you're just posting then shared proxies are fine to use.

Like Paper-Boy said, if it is for posting, public should be fine. You should consider private proxies if you want to do stuff like scraping because most likely, public proxies would of been black listed or abused.

He meant shared not public, public and shared have huge differences.

@OP, A few case studies have been made in GSA-forum and the answer is the performance is the same.

Let say you have 200$ to buy 150 dedicated proxies + 300 shared proxies from buyproxies.org

With that same amount of cash spent, your performance should be the same, certainly if you compare 150 dedi proxies to 150 shared, then certainly 150 dedi will outperform (personally tested).

You can give other suppliers a try, i think it worths it imo.

i only use private proxies on social media, so i won't be affected by others and get my accounts banned. otherwise i use shared proxies, cheaper than private and much faster than public.

Private Proxies are good for any purpose but the money is the one problem. USe shared proxy for posting as it is enough for your requirement.

I would go with shared proxies, to publish if you want to use for social networks it's ok too. I used them to create twitter accounts.

Private proxies are very good if you are doing scraping. Public ones these days are raped and milk thoroughly.

Private proxies are also available as dedicated or shared, its usually better to go for the latter.

By shared you mean public right? I'm not too savvy in the proxy market I guess, but isn't "shared" the same thing as "scraped from public forums/sites"? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
