Registering local business in google again?

So i told a family friend i would build her a website for her local salon and try rank it for her. Its mostly to give me experience in local seo. Thing is, around 2 years ago someone did some online stuff for her. They never actually built her a site but they have added her business to google as it is showing up on google maps. There is no chance of me ever getting the log in details for this google account as she has no contact details for this person. Im wondering if i can just ignore the old one and register her business again?. Is this even possible?. Is it better to try get the old one removed by contacting google somehow first?. Thanks

yea call Google up before u create your listing so they will remove the old one . once they do that u create a new account and verify it via post card then u should be good to go .

Top right corner, contact us. Normal biz hours. They are usually pretty good. I suspect though, they will want to speak to you family friend.

Well you can always claim Google Place listing and verify it.
