Alot of people on here often ask if Twitter is worth it and I say fuck no...I have done this same test in other niches over the past 2 years thinking maybe it would change but it never does. So what I did was wrote a really good Tweet in my niche and just sent retweets to it. I did this on a brand new unverified account. I sent 334 retweets and naturaly got 21 favs which looked like spammers in the niche I was promoting.

I was promoting a Clickbank product and here is the results after 2 hours.

I got 2117 hops and no hops per order or anything. My tweet was right under a promoted tweet in my niche. Makes you wonder how those promoted tweets are performing. Anyways I had some down time and thought I would post my test to maybe save people the hassle of wasting their time on Twitter.

The only thing I haven't tested was local. If you are promoting local stuff it might be a different story.

You should try something like cpa offer

I haven't tried a CPA...But I was just fucking around with it...I have other stuff i'm working on than trying to find something that will work...But if I get time I will try something from CJ.

Have you tried deals like from a amazon cart or plugin via Twitter? Would your audience be known to buy something from you online or would they be better to reach on old ad placements like TV and such? I know it's a shitty deal, but atleast you'll be making something from your account, which is better than $0.

I'm not worried about making money from Twitter...I'm doing other stuff for that...But to answer your question, I just think Twitter is dead for having buyers and has been for a long time...People with huge followings like brands and so on make money i'm sure. Twitter is more like a texting your friends type platform anymore I would guess.

I'm sure if Katy Perry told her followers "Hey, look at what I just bought on Amazon" and she dropped a affiliate link, she would make bank... But if she did the same thing on Facebook she would make 300% more than on Twitter.

I just wouldn't waste my time on Twitter... There are much better ways to use your time to cash in.

Are you using a LP or direct linking?

I just direct linked...I wasn't going to build a landing page for that..I just did a quick test...But about 5 months ago in another niche I made a quick landing page and did the same thing..I got alot of traffic to my LP but no opt-ins..

The only reason I test Twitter from time to time to see if it changes...If I get good results with my tweet right below a sponsored tweet then I will buy some sponsored tweets... But I have never had any results from Twitter. I have split test LP's and different tweets with the same results.

You know those hops are twitter spiders right?

Thats why you got 0 order form impressions.

I haven't had much luck with Twitter either.

Yikes... would there really be that many hops from a bot? 2000 hops seems like a lot for that.

I don't know too much about Twitter/Clickbank especially considering I haven't had too much luck with using Twitter and never really got into it. But you would think that CB would code their statistics to filter out bots from showing/counting.

The reason why Clickbank doesn't work well on Twitter is pretty straightforward.

People on Twitter aren't in what I call "Buying Mode". They're not actively looking to buy, they're there for the latest news, gossip, or to tweet to their friends. They don't have their credit card in their hand waiting to spend.

To do this, you need something like a mailing list, where people from Twitter sign up to and you then market to them in the future. So Twitter can result in sales, but indirectly, not directly.

CPA works better, if the person doesn't have to spend anything, so something such as you being paid each time someone submits their email address; however I've not yet come across ANY CPA offer that comes close to Adsense, when using Twitter traffic.

For me twitter never made penny from my sites. I've used Adsense and never had a click from the twitter followers. My account has 12k followers.

Did twitter converted into $$$?

If anybody need Twitter tool which gives you a lot of targeted traffic. Ping me your Skype id with your exchange offer.

I'm going to have to agree with screamingmidget. Twitter is all about news and gossip related, you can just tell with the biggest teen accounts there and look at the hashtag trends. All about news/gossip

Something I noticed about the sponsored ads on Twitter... All i've seen so far is for branding and that's it.
