What am I doing wrong?

I'm making an authority website in blackhat niches, I decided on BH niches because it should be easier to rank due to not having anywhere near as much competition as whitehat, hoping to make a decent income to support my whitehat projects after this one. (By authority I mean the type of website that posts something and minutes later it's already indexed and ranking without backlinking to the direct URL).

However I'm having some problems because some of my posts get indexed but never even show up in top 100...
Example:

Made 2 posts 2 days ago targetting 2 keywords each all very unsaturated no competition yet it's not even in top 100...

NO COMPETITION and not even top 100.... What could possibly be wrong? I'm trying my hardest to write unique content with 400+ words which is something rare in this type of niche and yet nothing happens... The posts have 1 fb share to my fanpage, 2 google +1 and 2 tweets (adding more daily) and 5 backlinks each, I would understand not being top 10-20 but not even top 100?...


The domain is almost 2 months old (1 week and half short) and haven't done much backlinking, 20-30 to root URL with quality web2.0 profiles/web2.0 blogs and a few PR5-6 blog comments, same thing to my 2 categories...

Domain has maybe 100 backlinks spread through the 45 posts in the website.



What's worse is that the websites that always rank on top of these niches are sites with poor english, keyword stuffing (literally 30+ keyword variations in tags) using the same duplicate articles. Yet I can't rank in top 100 with a shit keyword in title, desc, domain with 1% KW in article when no one else even targets this keyword.

Just seems to me that google is a lot dumber than people make it out to be, churn and burn still works, duplicate content still works. Don't even come saying the "its not long term" because most of these websites are 4-5-6+ months old still ranking #1-2


PS: Funnier is that my post doesn't even show up for "DomainBrandName Keyword"

Maybe your web2.0 is weak? Are we talking aged/backlinked web2.0 or fresh?
Cause fresh web2.0 ain't gonna do much of anything. Neither will a few high pr blog comments.

In all seriousness man whatever you're doing is obviously not catching Googles attention. You should drop $100 on some network links and see how your site moves after that.

Do you see your posts when you type their url to google (e.g. http://domain.com/2015/post/ put right in the search bar)? Do you see your domain when searching for site:domain.com? Do you have GWMT? What does it says when it comes to indexed pages and/or sitemap.xml?

Take a look at your internal links. If you don`t link to other posts/articles then your linkjuice is stucked. Good interlinking always helps.

Been there, done that.

It is because of your domain authority. Most likely because your domain is still weak.

Try to build more authority for your domain, usually it will get to 50# without much SEO for low comp keywords, but getting to page 1 is another story though.

If you aint even on 100 for a low comp keyword there's only two reasons: spam, and, like you didn't wanna hear wait.

Yes I do to all the questions, I added sitemap to GWMT and it says 150 submitted 138 indexed. 274 images submitted 101 indexed

I divided the posts in 2 categories some are even in both because they fit both, they show in homepage + categories and on the sidebar I also have a "recent posts" with the latest 7-8 posts so that it interlinks in all posts + under each post it says something like "You might wanna take a look at these" and interlinks to 2 random posts.

It is because of your domain authority. Most likely because your domain is still weak.

Try to build more authority for your domain, usually it will get to 50# without much SEO for low comp keywords, but getting to page 1 is another story though.

It's what I've been trying to do have some nice and HQ backlinks towards it, no PBN backlinks but still unique web2.0 backlinks with nice tier 2 backlinks and a post on examiner etc

seems i get the same problem with you. i started to build an amazon aff site three months ago and started to build links about two months ago. there are about 80 pbn links (most from LA and a pbn service in bhw) and some comments. my main keywords are not in top 1000, some of my longtail keywords rank in top300. my inner pages rank good becasue i build very few backlinks to them. i really don't know why my main keywords don't rank. my site started with about 10 aff links on the homepage but i removed them about 5 days ago. i though it got a thin content penaty but i add google webmaster tool about three days ago and no such messages. really confused.

Just check their domains on ahrefs or majestic and you will see the reason why they have so much "authority". They have ten of thousands of links to some popular articles on their website and that's how they spread out their linkjuice and rank for newer niches. I've also made an "authority" site in black hat niches but I knew it would be hard in the english keywords because of the competition so I made one in the french language and with 150 articles without any backlinking done I have 200 UV daily based only on content. So my suggestion would be to really build some strong links to an inner page of yours that you think will bring more than your other articles so you cank rank that, and the link juice will pass through your other articles as well and you will get better rankings overall.

Most of them yes but they'll also be penalized in a few months while I won't, however there are some that barely have any backlinks too and still are ranking while I'm not

Don't know how to help you here. I actually also want to know the answer. I faced this problem many times and still don't know why. I just try to build some links and see if I see any movement - if not I leave the niche and try something else.

So you're saying that google prefers to show the visitors unrelated content that doesn't even show up in title/domain/description/article of the sites instead of showing the visitors 100% related content that appears on title/domain/desc/article?

My vote is for domain age. Two months isn't really that much age. Also, Moz metrics are awfully slow to catch on, so it's possible those sites near the top are churning and burning with tons of links and you just can't tell. Did you check majestic/ahrefs on those sites?

I am in the same boat, but my KW is now ranking on page 5.
Just don't know how to boost it to the #1

Some of them are, others aren't and they still rank. They don't even have the keywords on their title/domain/content

That's the problem with niches like this. Sometimes you rank, sometimes you don't. I was ranking a few articles with zero backlinking in low competition niches, but than again, in some I didn't even rank with some backlinks.
