hi,

i had two websites in the same niche, i made a redirect 301 to one of them, about 2 weeks ago, i have good result. my website is ranked betwean 1-2 page. however old one is still index in google, home page and inner pages.

i want to do one more redirect. but now to the specific url. but how to do this good? sholud i delete content and wordpress before it? or it will take more time before google will deindex these page?

What platform are you using? You can do a 301 redirect many ways such as by using a Wordpress plugin, a 301 redirecting script, or through the control panel on your web host.

If you want to deindex a page, either use the remove URLs option in Google Webmaster Tools or add a no-index tag to the page.

i dont use GWT anymore. i dont know how to deindex pages now, when i did redirect already.

i made 404 page, so when i open old domain inner pages then it open 404 page. i thought, google will know it, that this adress is not avaible anymore

If you had webmaster tools you can tell them that your site has moved to a new address. That would fix it quick in my experience. You can always google your keywords and click on the old links that are showing, perhaps that will speed up the process.

Be patient it will take for Google to update its index, if you look at a 301 header and the response is moves just be patient
