To all current WPMDb users:

WPMDb has been down for a few hours due to hardware failure on the main API server.

Everything is now back up and running, but the API had to be moved to a new host with a new IP.
As a result, you new to download the latest version of WPMDb to work with this new API. (Current latest: 1.0.7)

All users with an active license have been sent an email with this information. If you did not get this email, you can still download the latest version from your customer area on wpmdb.net, or open a support ticket if you encounter any further issue.

Hi there. Well a question:

Is there any way to set this plugin getting Italian, Spanish, German or whatelse country's own movie titles instead/beyond the original title [wpmdb_title] ??
For example, the movie called "Man som hatar kvinnor" (original title) is also called "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" in US; "Uomini che odiano le donne" in Italy, and so on...
That would be great having wpmdb_it_title; wpmdb_de_title; wpmdb_us_title etc.

My short review for this plugin:

This is the greatest and most useful tool for every webmaster involved in any movies' wp blog. Basically, it provides a default pre-made template which is good enough to allow even newbies getting their own movie website, simply clicking few buttons only: the plugin will work alone on autopilot, creating contents, and you just have to monetize your website inserting your own ads.

But the best thing I must say is that this tool provides users 100% customizable data! With some efforts, we can setup our own, personal, customized template, edit wp files, switch on cron jobs...and then enjoying the perfect movie-machine going on, creating good, priceless contents.

I wish this plugin's creator could earn dozens times the amount he expected, because he really deserves it: THIS TOOL ROCKS!!!!!

Yes it is. WPMDb is still 100% up and running, the database is still up to date and updated on a regular (almost daily) basis and support is still available.

No, WPMDb focuses on movies only, not tv shows.

I had to cancel my subscription this months after months of paying every month (with hindsight i should have bought the membership outright rather than paid every month)... The database they use to update the films is not updated enough and I find many new movies are not added quickly enough. To give you an idea how far behind WPMDB is regarding the latest releases, this is the list of movies added to my queue list as "currently in theaters" :

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)
Annie (2014)
Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (2014)
Mr. Turner (2014)
Goodbye to All That (2014)
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 (2014)

The date today is 6/04/2015 and you can see from the list above there is not a single release from 2015 even though IMDB is full of 2015 releases.
Wish I could leave a better review as the chap running things seemed to be very helpful in dealing with customer services but sadly the plugin has proved to be a bit pants...

This is the result I get today (Tuesday April 7th 2015), and it seems to correspond to the "movies in theaters" list one can currently find on imdb and other sources.

(Note to waive any confusion: the year after each title is the "production" year, and there are indeed quite a few movies that were produced in 2014 and are released in theater in first half of 2015)
