Hi guys, this is a little motivational story + trick to help you change your habits or almost anything in your life. I've been using this here on bhw and on my websites that i must login everyday. And it works. Maybe you already know this but, and this isn't my story too, i found it on internet months ago, it was write by Mauricio Estrella, in this link: https://medium.com/@manicho/how-a-password-changed-my-life-7af5d5f28038

The trick is set your password to something that you want to change in your life. For Estrella, the first one was "Forgive@h3r", this way he could forgive his ex wife and keep going with his life.

"My password became the indicator. My password reminded me that I shouldn?t let myself be victim of my recent break up, and that I?m strong enough to do something about it."

Also, like he said in his post: "Make sure your goals are realistic, and avoid being too dreamy when you phrase them. It?s important to build a metric around your goal so you can measure its success along the way. For example, if you?re on a hunt to get a better job, don?t use things like BeTh3NumberOne! but instead go withKickASS@LinkedIn! and use the new connections, groups and number of resumes sent as a metric to validate your efforts to land a new job. Being the number one is great, but being able to measure where you are and where you?re going is important, specially when there?s a big gap between those two points."

This IS very effective, at least for me it was, and look other passwords that Estrella had:

  • "Forgive@her ← to my ex-wife, who started it all.
  • Quit@smoking4ever ← it worked.
  • Save4trip@thailand ← it worked.
  • Eat2times@day ← it never worked, still fat.
  • Sleep@before12 ← it worked.
  • Ask@her4date ← it worked. I fell in love again.
  • No@drinking2months ← it worked. It felt great!
  • MovE@togeth3r ← it worked.
  • Get@c4t! ← it worked. We have a beautiful cat.
  • Facetime2mom@sunday ← it worked. I talk with my mom every week.
And the one for last month:

  • Save4@ring ← Yep. Life is gonna change again, soon."

Other thing that i use: Change my wallpaper.
This month i'm using "Done is better than perfect" and this is helping me finish my work and don't stop it only because it isn't perfect. Using travel porn helps you save for a vacation maybe? Lots of possibilities.

Hope this help you guys, and also, do you have any mantra or something like this helping you improve your life?

Aren't passwords supposed to be secure? If people start doing those kind of passwords its going to add to another method hackers will add. If they can find out details about your life.

But look at those examples, with Numbers, Uppercase, symbols, I think it's impossible to get it, even if you know the person a lot.

Im sure when you type "Forgive@her" you always think of her !!!

If I put GetExtra@5cm, will it work? What do you think?

He thought it was going to be impressive.

my browser enters my passwords for me and they look like this, *****
so frankly i never see them.

"forgive the bitch" = ***************

:D :D :D

this is just absord in my opinion passwords are supposed to be something to secure u not to remind u t face time with you mum what happen after u facetime with her then am guessing change it back to greatjustfacetimewithmum not facetimewithdad? i think this could work fr people with damaged brain and poor brain memory to remind them to do stuffs other that tha i dont see the point.
