Video site - Embedded Videos. Is it still profitable?

I'm planning to buy domain and host for a video site - which consist of funny, inspirational, etc videos. Traffic are from tumblr (i have 190k followers on tumblr).

How do you make money? Is this safe for adsense? If not, what should I use?

Yes it's profitable, you can make money with adsense and it's safe but you need a good ammount of traffic in order to make some good money.

My honest opinion.First don't use adsense,because you will have thin content on the website.Which is a good reason for adsense ban.
Secondo rather content advertisement network.
Like taboola,mgid,content.ad etc. They perform way much better on those sites than adsense.First hand experience.
