[Method] Amazon to eBay Drop-shipping Done Right! Spoon Fed! *Long/Detailed*

Thanks for the method OP. Can we use one credit card for creating more than one prime trial account? Can non US citizens create a prime account?

so do you list these products as auction items? or buy it now? if you do it as an auction, do set the minimum starting auction at a certain price that you would only profit from? thanks so much!

I list them as Buy It Now, with an auction you could easily lose money.

Thanks for the detailed post, OP! Based on it, I decided to give it a go and already sold an item. Had to cancel it though, and the reason will likely help other noobs. TAX. Amazon didn't used to charge tax for my area, but apparently now they do. So to get an accurate picture of how much an item will cost, put it in your shopping cart and act like you're buying it. Get to the last step right before "place order" and it'll tell you shipping cost and tax. Shipping should be free, provided you have Prime or sold something over $35, but that tax ate up my entire profit.

ETA: I'm in California, your mileage may vary. Cali is very anal about getting their sales tax, some states are less so. I imagine that's why the OP didn't really cover the topic of tax (unless I missed it, I'm tired and it's 5 AM). THAT SAID, my experience shows it's entirely possible to do this for a noob.

I didn't cover tax in the original post but here I have responded to people and said to watch out for tax. With making sure I get at least $7 per sale after fees, no tax rate I come across in the US is going to keep me from making profit with that margin.

Thanks for trying and proving this can work for anyone!

You can use the same card. I have been using the same card for two years.

Here's some advice on what NOT to do, unless it has been covered already. Really, I feel pretty stupid. I listed the deal of the day item, marked it up $40 and offered free 2 day shipping. I had a sale in four hours ... but the deal of the day had already gone out of stock, so I had to offer a refund. I'm not sure how the eBay buyer will respond. [FYI: He was very chill.]

I've listed another item and 32 people have looked at it, but haven't pulled the trigger. I may tweak the listing a little bit to see if it will convert anymore. That is NOT a deal of the day, but it is an expensive item that sells fairly well on eBay and has just a few people listing it. The savings on shipping alone is about $30 and they get it a week or so sooner. I think this will wind up being pretty awesome. Thanks OP!

Oh wow. I also have a message from someone who was watching and wanted to know if I had any left. I almost made $80 while I was at lunch. *sigh*

Dear OP,

Now that am on a steep learning curve trying to implement this method. I have made a couple of sales but have come across a few hurdles:

1. Paypal payouts are after 21 days of the sale. Is there a way to get around this?

2. What will happen on my Ebay Account if I decline some of the sales? Will my Ebay account be in jeopardy? I have to do this because my funds are now tied.

Kindly advice.

Some of you guys that are getting sales already... I'm curious as to what you're selling. That's pretty quick success. I have no idea what I should be selling on here. Ive got a few things listed but no idea if I'll have any luck lol

The power of buy it now, fast free shipping, fancy ads, will compel people to pay more on ebay and its sad. I used to buy phones off craigslist and resell them for more on Ebay.
Stop after some said what I shipped him was broke, then tried to send me a different phone back(i recorded esn before shipping). Decided juggling hundreds of dollars at a time for little pay out just wasn't worth it.

So yeah, I can see how easily this method would work.

Look at everyone elses ads, steal/borrow any information that you don't have. Add it to your ad.

Make huge ridiculous ads, with lots of flair. Go to manufactors website, get more info there.

People will pay more because they think your item is different a. because it costs more b. because your ad is better.
Its all about presentation on Ebay.

1. I've never had this problem and never had a Paypal hold so I can't tell you. Both my eBay account and Paypal account are around 8 years old.

2. I have never had an issue with declining sales. The only thing that matters with eBay is feedback. You just always want to be getting positive feedback.

can this be done with other sites? say i had ad on ebay for pens. instead on shipping from amazon could i ship from pens.com?

Good method...this has been around for a long time.....DS Domination has this and training on how to do it and find products to sell that is a very good program...They have hundreds of training videos on this method. And it goes alot deeper than just ebay and amazon....

Do you have the links for DS Domination?

To answer your first question. No, you will have to prove that you can be a reputable seller. if you were reading earler post you would see that you have to sell an amount over a period of time to have those limits lifted.
Iv been doing drop shipping for about 3 months now. just keep selling, keep a good rep and these restrictions will be lifted.

Oh and thanks OP I learned something from this great post.

Congrats! felt the same way when i had my first.
Its good to add specifics, so that the customer be more informed about what he or she is buying. so at the end of the day they cant say they thought it was some other product. that said, sometimes depending on the product you can leave a few out. I do this allot of times.

For those dealing with PayPal/eBay's 21 day hold on payments, know this isn't permanent. Once you've "proven" to them that you're not some scam artist, they'll start paying you instantly. The criteria are your account must be over 90 days old, you must have at least 25 sales and have sold $250. Maybe I should write up a mini-guide for getting over this fairly quickly for the eBay section of the forums.

I have signed up an account but whenever i clicked on the sell button all browsers (chrome, firefox, IE) gives me a redirect loop error. I have cleared my cache and cookies, it didn't work. All links related to selling in Ebay (Link my Paypal Account, Sell Item Form, Sell an Item, and etc.) results to this error. Anyone else experienced this? :(

Solved. I don't know how but it fixed itself.

Another question sorry thanks
Would you make your listings private or just regular listings? why yes or why not?

What do you mean private? I have no idea what that is.
