if you have a server in OVH and you run proxies, VPN, torrents, mailing you better make a plan B because it might get suspended soon.

We just lost a ton of servers, also we know some other persons from different niches which they also lost their servers on OVH, they are even suspending the vps and shared hosting providers if their clients are making abuses. They didn't took any actions for years now they are terminating without any warning

To be honest most of bots trying to hack my site/VPS comes from OVH network . I guess they got alot of complains so they take action

can somebody else verify this info ?, can you please post screeshot of your suspended account ?

Received an email from buyproxies this morning regarding to this as well.

So i think it is true.

If you guys are looking for servers for SEO hosting purpose (Not mailing or anything illegal) then feel free to contact us and we can setup servers for you. We have our own hardware, so you guys can rest assured.

You mean using OVH IP's as proxies OR using OVH servers with proxies from other proxy providers?

There is big difference.

I think it mainly was in regards to proxy providers using them. If they suspended for using SEO tools with a proxy (if it was transparent) then that would suck of course

How will it affect buyproxies ? (i haven't received any mail, just want to know if my old proxies will keep working or i will be allotted new proxies)

Regardless, OVH has been banning all the accounts for SEO or marketing activities, so your data is not safe and those people using OVH can get banned at any time which would leave you with no data, so it would be a good idea for everyone to move out of OVH before their account gets scrutinized.

I think you are just trying to use scare tactics to gain some customers, lame.

As long as you use proxies from outside providers you should have no problems. The outside proxies protect OVH server IP. I thinks this only applies to users that use OVH owned IPs.

THey are using OVH to make or create or whatever with their proxies, so they said a lot of their proxies might be dead.

Check your spambox i guess, it went directly to my inbox though.

I am not trying to use the scare tactics, companies like OVH does something like this all the time, they would leverage and ignore the complaints for few months to make their money back on the servers they have invested in, once that is done, they usually end up banning customers. We have been in the hosting industry for a long time and have seen many company following this trend.

Also, we are just updating everyone about how they work, also, asking everyone to have a latest backup at all time, this way their hours of hard work won't go down the drain as everyone has a family to run.

We have servers in OVH, when some IP is sending spam, we receive email from them to fix the issue and thats all. Before 30-50 days we received email from their abuse team to ask for blacklist removal for 30 IPs.We did it and they closed the case.Hope this is a fake warn from you.

I've been a customer of linode for more than 5 years, now I want to cut cost by moving some vps to OVH, but they won't accept Chinese user. I'm 100% no spam, completely innocuous, just couple of drupal content sites which exist on linode for years. What can I do? Any other big, old companies out there? thanks.

It's a good move by them, there are lots of other server providers out there if you don't like them.

No that's not true. Proper alert mail will be sent to us initially regarding the abuse. It's our duty to keep the VPS out of such illegal activities and once we provide proper reason to them your servers will not be terminated.

i checked OVH lately they did not mention if they accept seo tools or not, why now without any warning they terminate servers ?
