Best Laptop Ever

I am currently looking at laptops t buy as my curent one is ancient. I need to know which is the best laptop to buy that is under $800 CAD. I was looking at this MSI laptop but some people say MSI sucks and some say it's the best. Here it is:

You wont find the best laptop ever for $800.

I'm a mac user, so I'd recommend Macbook. Yeah it's very expensive, but I've had mine for 3 years and it's faster than most new PCs. So in reality, it's very cheap because it outlasts any windows machine. I have Windows Vista installed on it for some things, but I haven't touched in a few months since Mac OS has better software (not more, but better)

I have a macbook pro 17'' and i do everything on this, better software to sound and image.

Before i have a mac i say also mac is branding, its for rich people bla bla bla ... until i have one and see what this machine can do.

Macs are great. If you only got $800 check ebay for a used one. Otherwise there are some ok laptops for around $700-800. Check staples they have some sales on right now. My brother just bought one for $629 at staples and it's actually a pretty good little machine.

Get a dell inspiron 1525. I got it for exactly $800 by bargaining on the phone here is what it includes

core 2 duo 2.2 ghz
4gb ram
bluetooth
15.4" screen
250 gb HD

this laptop is very good, i've had no problems with it, its lightweight, its smooth and can use this all day w/o problems

I have no problem with people that don't like macs so good reasons, but 99% of people that hate macs are people that have never used them. Before I got mine I hated them too and I use to believe rumors too.

I wont try and push mac on anyone here. All I'd really like to say is keep an open mind and don't believe crap that people say. If we lived in a perfect world, everyone would use all three operating systems (OS X, Windows, Linux)!

Don't buy a Sony, my computer is 2 years old but has only been used about 4 months because it keeps breaking. its a piece of crap.

I don't what whats wrong with it know but it wont turn on

Try Tigerdirect or newegg. I just got my HP laptop from there and am very happy. For 800 you'll get a very laptop, trust me. I got mine for about $600 and it's fast!!!

oh, snap. a Mac laptop at Staples for $629.. interesting..

i would recommend going to Newegg . com and look at their laptops.. mostly anything you buy there will be significantly cheaper than buying it a chain store like Best Buy ... hell they might have that Mac laptop at Staples a bit cheaper there too *shrugs*

after having a normal laptop hp pavilion 4gb ram 64bits around 360 gb
i think that msi wind u100 with 2gb ram and 6 cells battery is a good option because the battery is long last and weight around 3lbs as much

I agree with above poster, DON'T get a Sony. For the money you have get a

HP. They are inexpensive, powerful, and have a pretty good track record for

being reliable. One other thing, before you buy a model, look it up online and

see what other people are saying about it. Check and see if it is XP compatible,

then you can dump Vista and the new machine will be screaming fast.

Right now I have all my machines dual booting XP and Windows 7 beta (which I

REALLY like, it's everything Vista should have been).

I just bought my mom a great Toshiba laptop for $499 CDN through futureshop. Looks like that deal is gone - but search around.

It's a big, heavy thing, but awesome spec for the price. I've had laptops from compaq, hp, toshiba, samsung, asus, and sony. Toshiba and Asus were the best.

Anyways - there's no such thing as 'best laptop' - what do you want? Mega speed? Mega hard drive space? Huge screen? Small and lightweight? Graphics card so you can game? You can't have everything, so you have to choose what's important to you.

The Sunday paper always has the best deals, I found deals better then a used computer on eBay. Every week there is a descent computer for 350$ and every ones in awhile a deal for 300$.

But that's in TN, don't know about the rest of the world.

I'm addicted to Sony vaio. When I decide to get rid of this one, I'll buy another sony vaio. They not only deliver but they're freaking cool too! you can get some on ebay for $800 or less (used one of course)

Why do you want a laptop? If it's not necessary to have one, get a desktop. You can get an excellent machine for $800 if you custom build it (not that hard).

i agree. i built mine for a few hundred bucks and it is faster than most of the crap on the market (oh and it doesnt come preloaded with dell support programs or any of that sort of thing).

i've used macs in the past and used my friends macs and just dont like the feel for them. also, i cant play my games on them and i like my mouse and not those goofy one click things that macs have. maybe i sound ignorant but hey... i like what i have been using and everything works on it and i can customize it to do whatever i want so i am happy
