Russian visitors with high bounce rate?

Hello everyone,

Two weeks ago I indexed 5 new website which I bought. I haven't done anything with them. I notice that every day the visitors count increases. But the strange thing is that
90% of the visitors that come to these 5 sites, are russian and that they have a bounce rate of 80 - 100 %.

These sites don't have a high ranking postion in Google or some other search engine. I have absolutely no idea where these 'visitors' are coming from.

Anybody has an idea?

Spammers. They just go out there and find all sites and spam.

Site type what you started?

If the content is in the form of texs. I suggest $ 5 for quality content and backlinks manually fiverr as much as you can. Or you can use the services of backlinks.

Well, the quality of the content is pretty good. I was planning to start buying some service to rank the site.

Is there anything I should do or can do about this?

Check what backlinks does your site have. There could be a link out from a popular Russian site.

Is it wordpress based websites ? Then might be visiting for comment spams.

I got the same thing!! Recently launched a new blog and a large chunk of our traffic is Russian with a high bounce rate. I almost want to create a filter for it in my analytics...

Just as others have said, its bots, they crawl around looking for comment sections to spam, i had the very same thing with my wordpress site although after around 3-4 weeks they stopped targeting me.

To what you asked about getting your site ranked start by reading the post at the top of this forum called "Basic SEO practices for newbies"
Also you can buy backlinks but it comes with the risk of getting held back by google if they find out. (DO NOT BUY CHEAP LINKS)
Check the market section if you want someone to handle your SEO, everyone on here has been great to me so far.

OP some time back I got same results, when one site was slowly getting traffic there was odd traffic from rus with high % BR
nothing usual

Unfortunately I've been seeing a lot of spammer/bot activitiy coming from Russia myself. Just have to pinpoint the ip's and block them.

Yes, it surely is bots. If you have nothing to sell to russians then perhaps block their ips.

Yes, a lot of bots from Russia also visited my client sites recently. Just ignore them or filter them out. You can block with a plugin if you want.

Probably derived from the keywords embedded in the site.
If your site is a content site.
And the content is not relevant to the user in searching
