First clickbank sale!!

Hey all
Something happened that put a smile on my face today
I randomly checked clickbank today and I saw this:



I was shocked because I posted aff links without even cloaking to my old youtube videos and with just 81 hops got this. I posted links randomly because last few days I was busy with researching/ getting started and launching my website.
So this is great because this is small confirmation for me that it WORKS and now I'm going full force with review site, proper links and everything.

It's nothing really, but first sale is first sale and I want to put this out there for nostalgia and it'll remind me someday where I started

BTW small question:
The product I s3ll is pretty expensive and on the product's page it says I get 70$ which is 74% of the value.
Did I get 27$ because when you start you get less percent or because it was initial sale? Or maybe because I set my clickbank country as my actual country and we have 24% VAT tax here? If yes then I'm doing another acc with fake info:] That's the part I don't get.

Congrats. It's always nice to clock that first one to let you know you're on the right path.

It will be a good idea to track links as much as possible so you know where your efforts are resulting in sales. If you post links in different places and get sales you won't know where they came from.

The 74$ could have been average sale price.

Some products have upsells after initial sale or recurring sales. The 27$ might just be the first sale from that one customer. Check the product description on the CB marketplace and see if there's information on average sale amount. Average rebill etc.

you will get the same as everyone else. And you pay your own taxes later. So that doesn't affect what clickbank pay you.

With that youtube videos method? Not really it's pretty terrible because not many people click the link in the description. Less and less everyday. But it was just random method I was lucky I got that 1 sale If I wanted to market through youtube I'd need to make new videos about the product I wanna sell.

Update:
Right now I'm in the middle of creating microniche website, home page done, gonna finish the rest tomorrow, start bing ads and start promoting it in the forums/fb probably. This is my 1st site/clickbank promoting so I'm a total noob and it's going slowly but I pray to god I'll get some traffic and make more sales

I'm pretty persistent so I'm hopeful I'll see results in few days/weeks(?)

Yeah annotation is there from the beginning and my videos still give me 20hops per day. Well 1 day it got me 54hops but it was weird.
I honestly think I got only 1 sale from 122hops because the 'product' costs 97$... But the product is also from the niche videos are so I think if I change it it will go worse.
But I'll try and change it and update soon. Will choose cheaper one.

Update
Ok so today I spent around 7 hours to finish my test micro-niche website. The only problem I have with it is, I'm not sure where to put aff links to keep the site looking reliable, not like a huge product ad. At the moment I put link only to 1 of the 5 articles, which is not enough and people probably won't cli.ck it.
I posted links to it on few forums and I'm surprised because in 4 hours I got 15 views(and 5 hops:O). Which is nothing, but hey that's a start considering it's totally test site with .pw registrar, random domain name and basic design.
I'm considering starting bing ads for it, but at the same time I don't want to put money in .pw site, I think I need buy .co m domain with niche-fitting name and promote it on bing.
Well anyways it was a long day but I'm happy that I finished what I planned to. Tomorrow - getting more traffic and maybe buying that proper domain. I'm so tired that I'm probably rambling, going to sleep
