Back in early-mid 2015 I was able to mine alternative coins with a R7 260x, but stopped since I needed to use my pc for other purposes. Is it still worth getting back into mining now, I'm looking to just make enough to pay for hosting+domain anonymously.

I suggest leave alt coins alone... if you want mine few millions random alt. coins and keep them in wallet in case some of them will manage to rise in sun ! :)

If you follow up crypto currency - what do you think about that BTC drop below 178 ?! few people got couple of millions up in cryptos I guess :D

BTC price is 234Ù 8$

BTC price is 234Ù 8$

And ? Check graph's there was nice dumping going on in small time period then boom back but not so strong as always :) only big stock owners win in this ! they control the price pretty much !

alt coins are useless !! believe me

Unless you can mine them without paying for electricity/gear I'm talking serious here you have to be all in and hope for best, AKA have to mine that specific coin from beginning to control it's market value pump and dump ? :)

I sold my GPU's almost a year ago... their prices dumped and the electricity wasn't worth it.
Trading is more profitable and nearly free!

I decided on not getting back into mining, I was going to do it since I didn't trust buying bitcoins with paypal, but I just found out that not only Payza is back for Americans but I can also withdraw to bitcoin with Payza.

i dont know what is mining need beside electricity

as electricity in my country is very cheap

and i can manipulate and not pay for electricity

this miner is very cheap

It would take me at least 200 days to break even with that if I was using it.

I started mining dogecoin last year and gave up now, the prices are low and no increase in value. Also my electricity is not cheap so I gave up on the idea.

I don't think there is any money left in mining, especially for a newcomer. I think building a service around Bitcoin is the way to go here. Find someway to provide a service to bitcoin users, miners, traders ... etc
