Hey guys,

It has been a while since I have been here but I am back. I was looking for any advice people are willing to offer on how to grow a 90s niche page with 33k real followers. I only get 30-40 RT per tweet. I am a broke college student so I can't afford to put money into it unless I get money from it then I will reinvest it into the account. Do you guys have any pointers for me? The account is around 6 months old.

Thanks in advance!

Try to find accounts with a similar demography to trade shoutouts

I think this one is a tough one but good luck my friend! I'm a 90s baby too. What hashtags are you using to promote?

Trying to avoid spamming for the moment, David.
No specific hashtags, more trying to get retweets.
I will look into that erick! if you have any more advice I would love to hear it!

Good luck with that, its not saturated thats for sure, get a cheaper bot and continue with twitter, RTs and Favorites don't mean anything, I had an account with DEAD 10k followers, I put up an Amazon affiliate link and 36 clicked on the link, no Rts or Favorites, I even got 2 sales, go with twitter, it has the potential.

Now start leeching :) If you run out of ideas of things to post just go steal stuff from a BuzzFeed list. They have tons of them about the 90's.

I don't use Instagram for marketing, but I can definitely see the potential a niche like that could have with it. It wouldn't hurt to add another platform.

Would love to hear more about how to do this, sorry I am super new! Haha!

It's pretty remarkable if you've actually grown that account to 33k followers organically without using any black hat techniques. Whatever you've been doing so far appears to be working. Follow people that are following accounts related to yours and they will start to follow back. You could also try contacting the owners of the other pages to see if they're willing to trade shout outs. There are some good bots out there that can automate everything for you, but if you're really that broke I can hook you up with some iMacros scripts.

When the growth eventually slows dramatically, don't be afraid to change the niche. The account doesn't have to be married to the one niche. Take @funny_truth for example. That account has gone from generic comedy to pickup lines to life hacks and is now back to pick up lines and it's still gaining ~5k a day. Milk a niche for all it's worth, then find a new, unsaturated niche. Rinse, repeat.

Because one person is making a small amount of money by doing promos on another social network? Your logic is impeccable.

There are so many more monetization opportunities with Twitter that it's not even funny.
