GSA- Hitting Web2.0s with subdomains vs subdirectories

The title might not correctly explain it. Many of my Tier1 s are on subdomains of Web2.0s. For example:

http://exampletier.wallinside.com


and some are subdirectories like this:


http://www.blackplanet.com/exampletier


Normally I have been hitting my tier2 and tier3 web2.0s with the kitchen sink(all engines) under the belief that they are large sites and they can handle the spam and the tiers won't be penalized or deindexed. Is this wrong? Does Google consider the subdomains to be a different website when it comes to links? Should I stop throwing the kitchen sink at them and be more selective?

Google does treat a subdomain as a new website, however the point of tiered link building is to manipulate the PR algorithm. I blast the crap out of my lower tiers with whatever I can simply because a link is a link and it still sends juice up the chain. On t1 I am still selective with some of them, depending on what I did when I built them, if I want them to rank well and for a while.

Anything can be deindexed at any time. I check my t1 once a week to make sure they are still alive and indexed. I have had some get deindexed probably because of cheap blog posts I bought for diversity/ease. I just replace them and start over. That's part of the game.

True that google consider sub domain as a new domain but instead of focusing on PR you should focus on domain autority and page autority, google pays little to no emphasis on PR these days since their patent for the PR algo is no longer effective
