I am contemplating this PPI method I have been thinking about.

1) Download programs off torrent sites.

2) Uncompile them with Visual Studio or your chosen IDE. Change up the appearance etc to make it look unique. Change anything visual that can be changed to make the program look like you created it.

3) Recompile it into an .exe (win32 or 64bit)

4) Repackage files with a PPI option.

5) Upload repackaged software to download sites.

Would this method work? I am pretty sure that eventually you may get complaints from the software's author. Unless you can change it visually to the point that it looks unique.

If the software is open-source then I think you should be fine. If you do that to paid/cracked softwares then you will sooner or later get in trouble (and I bet it is sooner).

Do it with open source. You won't have problems (At least is what I think).

OP you good at decompiling/reversing ? It's time consuming if you are new + you can do it only with certain licence types legaly ofc.! I suggest better method, make cracks/keygens/cheats/hacks from 0 with your VS and bind your desired install to it should work fine. Register few or better get some old YT accounts start uploading videos andjust wait it will go autopilot If you have good videos good reviews etc, or upload to torrents if you want to spare time and mess.

But If you want to stick to your method why don't you directly bind an install next to a popular file and upload ?! It's lower % yes but hey still will get some % of ppi

What do you mean by "directly bind an install" you mean bind the setup file with a PPI first?

Yes, look-up binders, there are crypters and binders in other more malicious forums they are used to hide files aka virusses from AV's I guess they as well should work for you !
