Sharing links on Facebook

Hi,

I would like to know how I get rid of this line:

when posting links on a Facebook page

I saw many pages posting links to their websites and they don't have that ... "shared a link" line

I do also believe that there's a trick to increase the reach for external links
Look at "I fucking love science" page: https://www.facebook.com/IFeakingLoveScience
They get tons of likes and shares for their links!
When I post a link to my site the engagement with the post decreases a lot... in their page it's not happening!

Any ideas what the reasons for this?

This will get rid of the "shared a link" line:
When you post your text and your link, ADD A PHOTO, even if the link already has a photo embedded into it.
Either add a photo that you took from that link (or even a screenshot from that link), or any photo, it doesn't matter.

This changes the post from a "status" to a "photo" post, and has some advantages.

because they have 19,000,000+ followers and post interesting stuff. its easy to go viral when posting to 19 mill. plus they make a killing on their website so they probably boost their posts as well

This didn't work. I paste the link and it generates a thumbnail, i upload a photo to it and after posting, it steal shows "shared a link"

Others here got it to work, and it works for me too, so you probably did something wrong.

Try doing EXACTLY this:

1. on you FB fan page, start a new post and write some text, i.e.: look at this great article I found

2. add a photo to this post, i.e. upload any photo from your pc

3. now add a link to the text you wrote earlier, i.e.: look at this great article I found ___________
(use any real url).
FB won't auto generate a thumbnail, since the post already has a photo attached.

4. click the POST button

3. now add a link to the text you wrote earlier, i.e.: look at this great article I found ___________
(use any real url).
FB won't auto generate a thumbnail, since the post already has a photo attached.

4. click the POST button

What you are offering here is to post a photo with a link in the description.
That was not my intention.
