I've tried all - and they are all pure shit. Most are just business data resold as SEO leads.
The cost to generate a REAL lead is so high - often takes a big process - branding. Potential lead subscribes to a newsletter or downloads a free report....they read the companys blog for a couple weeks...they feel comfortable...they do their research.
The only business owner that will "close" right away is someone that wants #1 ranking for $199 a month. Real SEO costs real money.
I've never once come into contact with a real SEO lead sold by a third party. If someone is really generating good quality SEO leads they set up shop and turn that into a ridiculous recurring revenue.
Just personal opinion...never found a legit provider where the lead was indeed a business owner that had a legit interest in SEO.
If you are selling then I don't mean to offend. I'd love to find real good leads....just have yet to encounter any. (PM me if you are generating them - would be interested in details)

I paid $30 per lead for ORM leads. I called about 20 of them and half of them were confused why I was contacting them, some were mad I called them in the first place and the rest were verbally abusive and then hung up...I stopped buying leads at that point.

That really sounds like your fault. Leads can be structured in many ways. A hot transfer works the best. Owners get so many calls, if you waited even until the next day, they are not going to remember anything.

I disagree. He emailed the leads, I called the day he sent them. If the leads don't remember anything, they're not leads, they're just phone numbers. A lead is an interested party. If they're not interested, they're not leads.

I think you may have missed my overall point. How were the leads generated? For this example lets just say they were generated by the phone and he emailed you the interested people. Right there that is flawed, they should be hot transferred, meaning they say yes, they are transferred to you on your phone, or you are connected to their dialer. Did you write the script? Did you test the script? Did you listen to the calls to see how the agents sound? This could be the reason why it did not work. Ofcourse if it was a press 1 campaign or Robo then you get what you got.
Leads are only as good as the method and the provider. IF the provider did not give you a sample or refund, then you also got what you paid for.
But again, I really don't care about anyone's sob stories. I was wondering what a solid Lead is worth? Also, what a commission would be worth on a sale?
