When you say music from the past, I'm assuming that means it isn't your original content. If it is, I'd suggest using a mass-upload site like Tunecore for releasing music onto streaming sites.

What about just YouTube with Ads? Or a content locker on the site?

If you're trying to monetize music, then i hope you ahve the copyright for it, otherwise all the money you'll make from it will be illegal.
