My high-quality newly published article got hit for no reason?

Hi,

I just started a blog in an European country related to SEO. I posted my first piece of content in the form of a basic guide for SEO (aimed mainly at business owners), it is a 1500 words article, well researched, with LSI keywords, images with alt tags, headings with different semantic keywords, basically what you would consider a top-notch content. I got it ranked about page 4 for the main term - Pretty good

Now there is a big IT blog in our country and I asked them to publish my article. They accepted and posted entirely the same article with a few modifications to link out to my blog post. Now, their post is ranking page 2 for the keyword I aimed for but my article dissapeared completely from Google results. It is still indexed but not ranking for anything. This was 4 days ago, should I wait more? What are your opinions? I don't think I could get a duplicate content penalty because I first published the article then it got syndicated by the other source.

It's a brand new blog, from my understanding. So it will just be dancing around the SERPs before it calms down. It will be back eventually.

It seems that your new post has been "duplication filtered" Even if your new page/blog was published first, the authority site is taking the credit right now. Never duplicate a content again Guest-post with unique texts only.

It got hit for a reason, and that is duplicate content. You should always have unique content on your website.

How you sure that it is Hit? As 1500 Words Good. But Which host you used? Plus what is Niche ? plus your article contain any Keyword 8-11 Times because in 1500 Words, if You repeated 1 Keyword too many times than there is a Chance of Drop. but still how you sure you got hit?

If you let them publish it and want to publish it yourself you should request them to use the =rel to point out you're the author of the article.

Niche is Search Engine Optimization. Keyword density is bellow 1 %. As I said, it is a high quality, well-researched article, I am not really sure it got hit (it is just my generalization ). The host is from the US, a reputable company. Probably the site is new and this is the main reason for the drop, I hope the article will come back, I already got a Wikipedia no-follow backlink and the other backlink is from the IT blog.

Originally, I wanted to get the opportunity to guest post on their blog, but, in the end it ended up that they simply copy pasted the article. I already thought this might hurt (since my site is a fresh one with not age or domain authority) but decided to wait a few days to see how it goes. So far - my article is nowhere ranking. But still this gives me another thought, doesn't Google have the ability to get it that my article was the original one since the other one from the IT blog was published like after 5 days after my publication, and they also included the original source (my blog post) in the article.

This is getting interesting for me.

If its related to SEO it may just be in a sandbox because its new. Google treats different niches differently and I know they hate the SEO niche and are suspicious of it (for obvious reasons).
