I realize that a level 2 user can thumbs up or thumbs down an answer with 40 Answers,40 Votes,100 stars,20 comments,10 questions etc, but what other benefits are there?

I mean how it help in SEO job? Thanks in advance.

It can place a clickable link in the source so it's encourage people to click your link

There are quite a few ways of getting a lot of targeted traffic from Yahoo answers. However, it all depends on how good you are at making your answers seem genuine. You can answer questions related to your niche and slip in an URL in it. But if it seems spammy the answer will be taken down in no time... so do keep that in mind.

Google ranks the answers but I feel that they aren't as powerful for backlinks as they used to be for the SERPS. But if they rank the answer and people see it and click your site you do get traffic for free. But this is a hit and miss way to try to generate traffic and can be knocked off easily by a new answer thats better.

If you have enough answers on Yahoo Answers and you focus TIGHTLY on your target niches, it can be a nice source of DIRECT TRAFFIC.

I thought people stopped using Yahoo Answers for traffic/SEO 5 years ago or more? Yahoo Answers used to be good for marketers but it was overused and abused. If you use it for linking to your site now you'll more than likely get flagged, no matter how good and useful an answer you provide.
