Let me must say this - this service absolutely changed the company I used this service for. I will be using it again, I will be using it for other clients, I will be using it for personal use, I will be using it numerous times and drilling away and getting natural organic traffic with this service until google and the other engines decide news isn't worth ranking above all results for.
We had them write the article, made a few changes, approved it, done. Figured (as with other services I've paid for) we would get maybe a hundred, two hundred visitors, and sales would go up a little more than normal, maybe 20%, maybe 0%. Approved it pretty late at night, around 10PM CST, drank some beer, went to bed.
Well, I woke up to frantic, almost in tears, phone calls and messages from my client. He was wondering, and I quote "what the fuck is happening?! is everything alright?! WAKE UP AND CALL ME". I have some pretty great screenshots of texts and emails received that day, the company has not been the same since.
Continue reading if you want, but if you are looking for a PR service, and aren't sold after that, I guess I don't know what to tell you.
The main thing, and only few of you will understand this, is you need a real product to sell, and the traffic will come, and SEO will shoot up because of social sharing and other things that the traffic does once it hits your site. I looked through some of the other customers articles on their site, it's alright, it's okay, but people seem to be using this to get backlinks, this is less backlinks, more getting actual news, product releases, sales, promotions, something, out in front of your audience. You are promoting news about your brand, something new, exciting, and you will rank highly on news and organic normal (if done correctly), so make sure you pick the right stuff. If you are trying to use PR to promote your new haircut, nobody will give a shit, go buy some backlinks.
The links on the articles themselves aren't going to make this service worth it, though I'm sure they did help us go from 4-5 to 1-2, a lot more help came from the social impact it had on our site, shares from 10-15 a day up to the hundreds for the duration of the 'peak' of the article. I ran their service for a niche ecommerce website, it's in a insanely competitive market, if I told you the niche, you would honestly laugh, well, I'd laugh at you while showing you some charts, and the money made in only two days from using this service.
We received over 10 thousand unique visitors in 48 hours from ONE of the articles alone. (only limited google analytics to two days, referral from that domain traffic only) Though more traffic has come from this service since then, the articles are still floating around, the traffic is pretty much immeasurable. We typically brought in 50-100 uniques at the time we did this service, now it's gone up, but at the time, 50-100, up to tens of thousands... Plenty of people purchased, we had the highest sales day ever, followed by the highest sales day ever, followed by the third highest sales day ever, in the companies year long existence. I won't get into numbers, but I'll tell you what,
we made more in the two days than we did in most months. More than just purchases, we had insane upticks in newsletter subscriptions, social media followings, etc.
We were featured in the 'in the news' on the google results page for a bunch of terms, second only to google product ads, as 'in the news' featured our submitted image, and article, right there, in front of thousands of people.
For 2 days we were there for our main slightly niche-y term (4.6 million results, decently costly for ppc), and for about 2 hours on the first day of our article being posted, we were featured on our biggest term that we don't bother ranking for because it's so insanely competitive (
400,000,000 results, PPC cost that would leave me homeless). Obviously since our news became stale, we dropped from those positions, but the traffic and links, etc, still effect the traffic on our site today.
The sites that our article was posted to were impressive, hundreds of sites posted it, and 2-3 of them were big nut swingers which brought in a bulk of the traffic, lots were local news and other types of news sites (as typical with a PR service), even those smaller sites, local news, and such, brought in traffic... We even had new sources emailing us from clicking those article links, featuring us in their personal/business blogs, social media pages, instagram, facebook, etc. This service seriously changed the face of the company.
We were sent a screenshot from prmwire with one of their partner-service analytics, over 60k views on one article alone.. if it's the same article, or close to it, as the one that send us all that traffic, think of the click through rate on that.. absolutely bat shit insane.
Here's a screenshot with everything important covered up, so it might not mean anything to you, but think about ranking in these spots, with huge graphics supporting the article, for your biggest terms, bringing in tens of thousands of visitors a day.. Think if we ran PPC at the same time, and google product ads? We seriously would have been 100% of almost the entire first page of results.. just think about that.. think of a term you would make a killing if every google-r HAD to go to your site if they searched.. think of a best selling product you sell and think about how much traffic you lose because some dip shit out ranks you.. think about being #1 with a huge image for a few days.. if that doesn't get your creative juices flowing.. you're in the wrong industry..
I can't wait to continue using this service and spin it different ways.. fuck paying google hundreds of dollars a day for crazy terms.. just take it over with services like this.. i will be submitting my second, third, and fourth order, for clients and myself, in the next few weeks.
