The Pinterest Bible

No. If you really knew Pinterest, you would know what that SEO account was doing. My niche is not food, my niche is not animals, my niche is not DIY, etc, yet I have boards for those and more. The difference between men and women (no offense) is that men don't analyze like women do. Men go charging into things like bulls and women analyze every detail. If you did your homework, you would know that the percentage of people who choose follow all is higher than the people who just choose one board. Therefore, you have a follower who likes animals also seeing pins about your niche. I have a board ranking on the first page of Google for excellent keywords and there are no pins in it. It's pretty impressive. If you want to learn everything Pinterest, ask a woman to teach you. It's one of those things that men need guidance on.
No need for a battle of the sexes, its not a matter of gender when it comes to knowing pinterest, many men have pinterest mastered such as Healzer..just as much as females have it down..it all depends on how much time you spend on pinterest.

I was addressing your words that I quoted. What you said was wrong.

I know what you meant...I was responding to you saying I don't know Pinterest so thats why I posted proof of traffic.

I have been working on Pinterest for a while now.

In the women's fashion niche, I have 26 boards targeting different
type of clothing like dresses, blazers, etc.

I have 2304 followers and 3161 pins total.

Thirteen group boards with five of my own. The other groups have
from 5000 to 17000 followers in them (kimonos, nails, wedding,
general women's fashion, etc).

I have been using Healzer's Pinbot and have been pinning around
20 pins with 10% with my url, around 30 repins, no comments,
30 likes and following 40-50 on a daily basis.

I checked Analytics and on my three landing pages, only FOUR hits
were from Pinterest!!! The rest come from BS websites like semalt.com,
iloveitaly.com, 7makemoneyonline.com, darodar.com... What the hell?
The bounce is understandably over 95%. :(

I know it's possible to get massive traffic just from one account so
what have I been doing wrong? Have I chosen bad subniches? Not
enough of them?

I forgot to mention that my websites are all from one domain ie genericdomain/niche1,
genericdomain/niche2 and genericdomain/niche3, they all lead to
Amazon. I gotta say, I'm pretty proud of my landing pages!

Is that a mistake to get a generic domain? It's to save money and I could
try different niches with it. Does Pinterest strip subdomains? Like it will
only show genericdomain.com? Should I make a website for each
of my boards/subniches?

I really thought I was doing a good job! Evidently NOT with those
poor traffic numbers. I can't even get daily 10 views!

Please help me! Anybody that is killing it on Pinterest! Or pm me. :)

Women's fashion sucks on pinterest... There. I said it. It's saturated... My account has a similar number of followers (They are mostly real... I have my own bot that has a pretty good algorithm to follow real people so they follow me back). I have group boards, I pinned, repinned, etc...

The thing I did wrong was choose "women's fashion".... My other niches are doing awesome.

Well maybe if i provide content, like article everyday, then fashion niche will not suck anymore?

Lets keep this thread going, how are your guys stats going? Anybody have any record breaker earnings for the holidays?

My traffic has been increasing more the past 3 days.

Traffic is increasing day by day. Let's hope for the best.

Happy New Year's everyone!

just to make sure if I do right,

1. pick a nick and start pin with 1 board
2. leave my URl in the source of the pin
3. don't comment, like or follow anything
4. pin about 50-100 pins a day

Is there anything I missed?

Hello everyone, first thanks for this wonderful thread!

I saw a board whose pins link to an amazon store embedded in their site. Naturally I copied :) bought a domain and set up my astore.

The thing is when I use the pin it browser plugin in my astore, the link is pointing to amazon

http://astore.amazon.com/AFFILIATEid/detail/B009FDMDF

but when I used the pin it browser plugin in their astore the link is

http://THEIRDOMAIN/twin-bubble-airlock-and-carboy-bung/B00A6SSDXO4/?sid=41SDSDtQ2WvL

How did they do this, I have been banging my head for hours! :)

please help

I'm a newbie so I have nothing to offer in return except my gratitude :)

PS. Not the actual links, just being careful not to break BHW TOS

Could they be using API to populate their website with amazon products and not an embedded astore?

Hello everyone, I'm not so experienced with pinterest so go easy on me here but... I was browsing it earlier and i found this page wwwdotpinterestdotcom/lowcostvacation/jewelry-for-her/ all it contains is pins linking to the same amazon estore site. and then if you look at their profile page you can see lots of other similar boards containing pins linking to only their site. How has he/she done this without getting banned?

There's nothing against the rules about doing that. If the click leads right to amazon from the pin, you can get banned but if there's a landing page in between that is alright.

cool thread. I suppose that the first step would be to have a domain that I can link to before getting started with this strategy

If you buy a domain for your money site, don't use that domain on Pinterest..Buy a few cheap .info domains to use on Pinterest and use them for your pins and redirect them to your money site.

That is correct but be careful with a new account changing the destination URL.If you have a fresh account and you are going to changed the destination URL to yours, I wouldn't go over 50 pins for about 2 weeks just to be safe from a ban.

You can follow 300 people manually in your niche..This way you know they might be real.
