Ebay and Dropshipping - still working?

I've heard a lot that they hold money for up to 21 days and such things which would mean the supplier couldn't be paid and that would make the whole concept useless.

Is it still possible to start with dropshipping on Ebay without own investment?

Now isn't that nice of you. And of course you will wait for his payment till the funds are released so he can pay you.

Maybe put him on a 30 day credit line.

Why would the concept be useless? Paypal releases the funds 3 days after the product is delivered. And the 21 day holds come off in 3 months.

They only do it if your account is new. If you don't have problems with delivery or returns, they take it off the 21 day hold 3 months after your first sale.

So they say and so they do. Most of the time. But not always. Sometimes they hold the funds for 21 days even after confirmed delivery. Sometimes they release it after a week even if the shipment did not have tracking.

Most accounts, if in good standing, get the 21 day hold lifted 90 days after the first sale. Again, not always and not for all accounts.

All besides the point. The OP wants to work of his buyers knot with a new account and a hold. Unless he finds someone who gives him a credit line or comes up with some funds on his own - dropshipping for him is as useless as tits on a boar.

This is a good idea but the trouble with this solution is that if say you want to drop ship expensive items, this will cause the automatic system to flag you and eBay will suspend your account. eBay look for sellers who go from selling low priced items to expensive items.

It's a good method as long as you only plan to sell low price items.

Unfortunately there's not many high traffic alternatives to eBay either. The only alternative is Amazon but rather than a 21 day hold they have a 14 day hold on funds, so not great either.

OP you could try Play/Rakuten and drop shipping, they have decent traffic, well known and have better selling policies. Or search Aspkin for an eBay account with no hold on funds and pray it doesn't get suspended.

Your only other option is to possibly sell on another country eBay that doesn't have a hold on funds, in some countries it's illegal for there to be a 21 day hold on funds, so there isn't one. However you'd need an item(s) that would sell in a different country and you'd need an IP address and real information to set up an eBay account for another country.
