PBN vs SAFE backlinks

So as I'm ranking couple of my websites, I tried a lot of techniques to rank.
But I never tried Private Blogs Network, I always worked with SAPE links (Footer backlinks).
I never had any problem with it but these times (after the last update) I'm feeling like it's more hard and it takes a lot of time to rank.
So my question is : Are PBN (Public ones) stronger than SAPE links?

Oh, also I asked my friend who is a SEO service seller, and he told me that if I buy public PBN I'll be penalized by Google. Is that true?
I'm lil lost in this, and I wanna know what do you guys think about this.

:1: its hard to answer bcs PBN cld b strong or weak depend on how u build it, but those SAFE link surely will have more OBL than ur own PBN so even a weaker PBN of your own might do better. But if its a Public BN then its all variable, those SAFE footer links might work better.

Pbn links are safe as long as you buy from high quality legit looking blogs. Ideally try setting up a pbn yourself. Theres no reason for google to penalize sites with original content which adds value to the internet.

Actually, I did hear a lot of new about PBNs not being a safe option anymore, and the sites having backlinks from these so called PBNs getting penalized by Google. However, on the other hand, there still does seem be quite a lot of people doing fine with using PBNs. So maybe it all comes down to the quality of the PBN you're using...

Some PBNs aren't worth the time and money spent but if done perfectly, it works very perfectly. Yuo need to be keen in every step from choosing a domain to iting quality articles. Avoid spun content.

Yes, but I'd never consider PBNs a real long term strategy. Especially public PBNs are all busted sooner or later.

Yeah it really depends on if the PBN is set up right. It can both harm and help your site to rank.

99% of SEO "professionals" have no idea what they're doing. PBN's work fine, your friend probably has no experience with them. (Most SEO professionals have no experience at all IMHO)

Whatever SEO you do to your website, there's always a risk. The trick is to ensure the cards are always stacked in your favor and diversify everything.

Most SEO consultant doesn't know about what they are doing... According to me build your own PBN by yourself.. Don't go with others Bcos they ll buy expired domain with cheap rate with fake PR and PA, DA, etc..those blogs won't help you.. Getting one link from real blog is much better than links from fake PBN.

I think he may have been referring to the popular SAPE russian links. There are many out there pushing regular footer link neworks and passing them off as SAPE to newbs, as the simple question the OP posted seems to reflect. To accuse a newb of a mere 9 posts of "making it up" just boiled me over. I am quit blunt and matter of fact in my posting at times, even rough, but you little arrogant piss ant outburst was uncalled for. I'm a little man in size, but I'd knock your fucking teeth out if you treated a guest in my house that way. I can't believe the way this forum has attracted such rude ignorant assholes in the past few years. You owe the OP an apology.

Maybe you're an alright guy and just sat on a hornet, stayed up too late, or ran out of coke. But if you want to be the type to "just tell it like it is"... others can too. If you are upset at me tough, all the more reason you should have been nicer. Don't dish what you can't eat.

Dear OP. Private blog networks are the way to go over footer link spam. The real trick is to actually find the PRIVATE in PBN. If they are posted for sale or rent, then that is a Public blog network, no matter how private they say it is. When people get SAPE links, and speak English or other non Russian language, they usually do from a reseller website, or even someone pretending to be a Sape reseller. If you are being sold footer links only, then you are getting the worst of the worst, as most resellers will go out of their way to make sure that you do not get footer links and will go out of their way to promote as such (as they are no longer effective but often lead to bad links).

I hope that you find lots of information on BHW as well as some good friends.

For clarification purposes I was not in a bad mood nor did I sit on anything uncomfortable today. My above post(which to be honest doesn't seem too cruel if you ask me) is simply the way I respond to questions which I find dumb (meaning not well researched).

The reason why I found the question to be of low quality (and thus dumb) was due to the following observations:
- Uses the incorrect and very confusing abbreviation "SAFE" for SAPE which jeopardizes the meaning of the entire question
- Claims to have used SAPE links for a while which I find very hard to believe when he thinks they're called "SAFE" links (and no, this is not a typing error - both the thread title and body contains the wrong abbreviation).
- Asks the classic SEO-rookie question "is link type X stronger than link type Y" (which obviously is impossible to answer seeing as it depends on the concrete examples.)
- Asks about PBN's when he clearly is very new to the scene and thus should learn the ropes before venturing into more advanced techniques
- States "Oh, also I asked my friend who is a SEO service seller, and he told me that if I buy public PBN I'll be penalized by Google. Is that true?" which has already been discussed COUNTLESS times both inside and outside of BHW.

Read through the above mentioned facts and hopefully you'll agree that my

was not uncalled for.

Not an overtly violent person, just very adamant about the respect of others, especially for those that ask for help from you, and yeah in my house a guest is almost sacred, which in fact is the position YOU would be in if we in fact did meet in person. Everyone knows it was a Newb question... from a newb, at least to the boards. Maybe I just see things a little different than you and that is OK. This whole forum is based on pushing boundaries. Your above explanation and viewpoint about how knowledge should be sought would kill that innovation.

To be honest it probably IS me that was in in a little bit of a bad mood. The berating of new members and and overall "you deserve to be treated like shit attitude" has been growing on one of my favorite forums and it is getting old. There has always been the elite tech snob around to give the forum flavor, and I have learned a lot from such people, but never have I seen such a rush to accusations, name calling, and overall disregard for forum members as I see today.. en masse, and it is usually being done by people who not only wear such rudeness on their sleeve, but will even defend such behavior in the name of their own personal knowledge which they probably got from someone who took the time to help them with their "dumb questions" in the past. Think about it, did anyone ever "help you" with accusations and belittling?

I agree it was a dumb, newb question. Thank God. There are people still out there trying. Hopefully they never become so smart that they feel others should just STFU and struggle through it on their own.. or this place is useless.

What do you tell a client who asks you how to install Facebook for their business? Stay out of social media until you can know what your talking about?
