The Pinterest Bible

Yay my traffic is back again with full force! Got more before! Glad to see this happen, anybody else get their traffic back?

I have been working on Pinterest for a while now.

In the women's fashion niche, I have 26 boards targeting different
type of clothing like dresses, blazers, etc.

I have 2304 followers and 3161 pins total.

Thirteen group boards with five of my own. The other groups have
from 5000 to 17000 followers in them (kimonos, nails, wedding,
general women's fashion, etc).

I have been using Healzer's Pinbot and have been pinning around
20 pins with 10% with my url, around 30 repins, no comments,
30 likes and following 40-50 on a daily basis.

I checked Analytics and on my three landing pages, only FOUR hits
were from Pinterest!!! The rest come from BS websites like semalt.com,
iloveitaly.com, 7makemoneyonline.com, darodar.com... What the hell?
The bounce is understandably over 95%. :(

I know it's possible to get massive traffic just from one account so
what have I been doing wrong? Have I chosen bad subniches? Not
enough of them?

I forgot to mention that my websites are all from one domain ie genericdomain/niche1,
genericdomain/niche2 and genericdomain/niche3, they all lead to
Amazon. I gotta say, I'm pretty proud of my landing pages!

Is that a mistake to get a generic domain? It's to save money and I could
try different niches with it. Does Pinterest strip subdomains? Like it will
only show genericdomain.com? Should I make a website for each
of my boards/subniches?

I really thought I was doing a good job! Evidently NOT with those
poor traffic numbers. I can't even get daily 10 views!

Please help me! Anybody that is killing it on Pinterest! Or pm me. :)

His replies take quite a while. Faster help if asked here on BHW. :)
The tool is working well for me personally and updated often.

I have this same referring websites in my analytics too, i think it is spam competitors to give nega seo? i dunno, how to block this websites?

Traffic is back. I think the issue was with the holidays...

Good luck to everyone working with the Pinterest method.

OP I hae one question, can I copy images from pinterest and paste them on my site? Will I get banned from adsense for this? Not relevant to thread but...

Good post. I also use Pinterest with success, but also took part in some shared boards, will check the result without using any. Thanks :)

Yes you can. But be sure to add under text or image something like this... Source: Pinterest (and link "pinterest" text to pinterest.com)

Is it somehow possible to resize or do anything to the imges and not get banned from adsense?

I don't know nothing about resized, I never resized images.

I can vouch for what OP said in his original post. Don't follow any "pin x pins per day" or "change url of x% of pins to your site" or other so called rules. I've never commented on a pin in my life.

Pick your niche and make a quality site surrounding it. Don't spam thousands of pins and rather than wasting days/weeks/months trying to black hat pinterest and getting accounts and domains banned, just do it right the first time.

Here's my December: december.jpg

I saw a SEO targeted Pinterest account in the clothing niche pushing a pretty shitty looking blog..Their pins consisted of everything but what their board was promoting...They had automotine pins, get rich quick pins, game hack downloads and the list goes on...I bet I saw 75 Pinterest accounts like this in the past 3 weeks...What the fuck are these guys thinking..Why waste your fucking time trying to game Pinterest if you have no idea what you are doing?

Pick a niche and stick to it...Your niche defines your whole profile. You don't have to follow, comment and like to get traffic..Just pin stuff in your niche and start out slow with a new account.50-100 pins a day and if changing the destination URL its best to have over 100 URL's so your account does not get banned<--------VERY IMPORTANT.Don't mine for shared boards.Waste of time.I don't care what anybody says, you only need one board in your niche...Starting a new board is like buying a brand new domain...Just focus on one per account. If you get a invite from somebody with over 4000 followers snatch it...But most are fake followers...Just create a tracking url and post to the big account. That will tell you if its legit or not.

No. If you really knew Pinterest, you would know what that SEO account was doing. My niche is not food, my niche is not animals, my niche is not DIY, etc, yet I have boards for those and more. The difference between men and women (no offense) is that men don't analyze like women do. Men go charging into things like bulls and women analyze every detail. If you did your homework, you would know that the percentage of people who choose follow all is higher than the people who just choose one board. Therefore, you have a follower who likes animals also seeing pins about your niche. I have a board ranking on the first page of Google for excellent keywords and there are no pins in it. It's pretty impressive. If you want to learn everything Pinterest, ask a woman to teach you. It's one of those things that men need guidance on.

Like I mentioned above, you only need one board..If your account is aged, you safely pin 300 images a day..The more domains you have the better because Pinterest loves to block your domains. If you only use one domain and it gets blocked then you just lost all your traffic.Spread your pins out through different domains.Never pin with your main domain.Just redirect other domains to your money site.

Every account I make I wait a week and follow 300 people manually and thats it.I only pin to one board on each account and as of yesterday i'm almost up to 800 hops on one of my Clickbank account.

One thing I will say when using Pinterest and Clickbank you start seeing good money once you are to about 3000 hops a day.Once I get around 1000 hops a day I will start seeing about 2-3 sales a week.Once you hit 4000 hops, thats the start of getting good sales. You can start seeing $100 a day.

Pinterest has a snowball effect when it comes to traffic.I got to the 4000 hops a day twice but like I mentioned I only ran one account and started pinning like 1500 images a day..Never do that.

Just spread everything around and don't be aggressive and your accounts will stick and your domain wont get blocked.

OP what do you think about commenting my website to a popular pin?

Its not worth it..You don't get any traffic and you risk getting a account ban for spamming.

I'll say I know Pinterest pretty good and learning more stuff all the time.Different things work on Pinterest but people work Pinterest in different ways.If it works for you do it.

Here is where my traffic stands right now as of today with my simple approach.

I was addressing your words that I quoted. What you said was wrong.

you posted 7 paragraphs bragging about making 160 dollars and 1 paragraph with basic pinterest info.

am I missing something?

That's really good if you're starting from scratch. It takes a LONG time for most pinterest accounts to gain traction and start making money.
