Ranked 3. but no traffic (bing)

Couple months I have tried to rank in bing. I choosed keyword that have 23k search in month in bing (cheked from bing ad tool). This keyword have 92k per month search amounth in google. Enyway 2 days ago I saw that I rank position 3 according pro rank tracker. When I make search in my country my site ranking is 1.

Problem is my site traffic is only 5 visitors from bing search yesterday. And today 3 visitors. I thought i will get little more than that.. Why site got so few visitors?? I should get much more?

Bing and yahoo doesn't really have traffic, few of my websites ranking #1 there and i barley get traffic, so better just focus on google,

Hi Dude,

It could be as simple as a title change or slightly changing your offer to appeal to more searchers.

Getting to no 1 is only half the story, once you get there you have to do some market research and figure out what 90% of those searchers want - then give it to them.

Is that exact search volume or broad search volume? If it's broad search volume, you made a critical mistake from the outset.

2. Bing market share is ~6%

so:

- use Google Adwords Tool
- forget Bing, you wanna rank in Google

I cant rank enything in google thats why I choosed to rank in bing. Bing ad tool said this keyword has 23k search volume exact. Are you saying it isnt true? I know that bing has lower market share, thats why I took big keyword to start with.

The amount of traffic your site gets is what Bing has, it might looks disappointing but keep going and try to rank your site on Google and then you'll get more and much better traffic.

Ranking in Google is more tougher because they have their own algorithms which are unlike Bing and Yahoo which are flexible to work on. I for some reason believe that Bing's tool isn't accurate and has exaggerated results.

There is a reason why most internet marketers are basically google marketers. Thats where you can get actual traffic from.

How much search per month in that keyword? (in google or/and bing)

Probably you checked not exact searches, it can easly explain why you are getting so low traffic,
do not forget that some searches as well done by bots and scrapers, without seeing keyword it is very hard to say why it is happen,
another reason can be that you searched for worldwide searches and your keyword ranking top 3 localy.

There's no way you're getting that little traffic for a 23k keyword. The only real scenarios are:

1. The tool is clearly lying to you
2. You've messed up somewhere.

I have no idea what could be messed up with the statistics, except for the exact match thing, but apparently this isn't the case. So apparently the problem is in the Bing ad tool. It would be cool if someone else can share their input - does this happen frequently?

I have a site which is penalized in google, ranks only in Bing and I get decent traffic. 250$/month (for 3000 visits from Bing) is nothing to brag about, but it's well worth paying for the hosting and I'm happy overall. Oh, and those 3000 visits are for a less than 5000 search/month keyword. So in my case the tool seems to tell the truth :/

BING only send few visitors. but after firefox change the default search engine, my visitor that comes from BING is increased.

Maybe you wasted your time doing SEO on bing, I have a new site that has rank #5 on bing for broad match with 10traffic/day, in google, I rank #10 and get 200 traffic

U sure you are #1 in bing? Is your cache clear when you are checking? Just because with 23k you should atleast be getting something.
