Is it normal for a vpn service to randomly show ads on firefox while browsing?



Have to say thats pretty clever the way they put ads below the item image and over on the right in a way that looks natural

i wouldn't say it's normal, if there wasn't any option to opt-out from getting ads while installing, that's a sneaky tactic, adware basically, but maybe that's how they are able to offer the service for "free"

i grabbed free 1 year with cyberghost when they ran a promo, no ads with that one

Hi buddy, i know what i did, i allowed the browser add on to install after installing the vpn. Ive since removed it from firefox add-ons and the ads have gone.

I thought this offer was for the premium service. The Free version is Ad-Supported. Think I will give it a miss.

No issues with it as of yet, deleted the add on as stated earlier. The companies been around for a few years and there is little to nothing to find on it via google. Seems rather strange to me.
