Expiring vs deleted domains for pbn? Which one do you use?

Deleted ones are cheaper,but they don't have authority and age of domain,only backlinks profile. Expiring ones are better,but they cost much more but sometimes you can find them for nice price on go daddy auctions.
Lets say you find good domain for 50$,which one are better to buy?
5 expiring domains or 25 deleted domains?
Please note hosting will be cheaper for 5 domains instead of 25 domains,for like 200$ per year if you use 1$ month hosting.
Which one do you use and which are better?
Please help me,thank you.

Expired domains with high authority backlinks is working better for me than deleted domains.

The most important thing when you buy domains for PBN is the backlink profile. Deleted domains work good if they have good links, same goes for expiring

It's all about the links, I don't see any real advantage to expiring ones. Well, it is actually because the domain won't be dropped, but if expired domains have good backlinks then they have value too.

The added benefit of having more domains is that you can diversify the anchor text and you diversify the risk of domains losing their best links (in other words, buying just a few expiring domains puts you at more risk of losing juice if the backlinks disappear).

Yes, you have to pay more for hosting, but for me at least, the benefits outweigh the costs.

Expiring domains are better in the sense that it's harder for Google to figure out that they were snatched by someone else.

When they are pending delete they don?t consequently go to auctions, some might just expire and others are snapped or go to auction.
If you use a system for watching domains and you find a good one, you can watch or bid on it while it?s expiring...

No, not typically. I would prefer to just buy more expired domains rather than try to boost my current ones which comes with a risk attached. If I were going to do anything with GSA etc, it would be at the backlinks pointing to my expired domains - so if one has a link from the New York Times for instance, I might try and boost that NYT page a little - but in reality I don't do this, it's just an idea you might like to try out.

It doesn't matter as long as they have 100% spam-free clean history and diverse quality PR backlinks, I doubt you can find such domains which are expired/cheap.

Yes, but you can minimize the footprint by linking to other random authority sites. Also build links from other different sources to your money sites to make their backlink profiles different.
